Terrifying situation for everyone involved. I'm glad he was able to save his family and didn't lose his life in the process. Hope he continues to heal physically and mentally

Rick, this is old news. There is however another similar story from this week in NJ where a father passed away after saving his kid from rip current
many years ago chief running back joe delaney did the same but sadly drowned
ππ, hope alls WELL!β€
How about thanking the professionals in the emergency services and hospital who SAVED his life? I have news for you all- thoughts and prayers donβt heal anybody. Medical professionals and good medical services do.
A fella for the Patriots Marquese Hill also died in a water accident it was sad.
I had the good fortune to be in a position to help a kid that was being pulled under by a rip current. I remember swimming towards him praying he would continue to fight long enough for me to get there. Very scary feeling. He did though and I was able to get him onto my boogie board. Then, the swim back to shore was exhausting and a jellyfish stung my leg about mid way. It was a whole ordeal.
