DaMe duo is a Berlin-based piano and vocal duo made up of singer Meiling Joy and pianist Danai Vritsiou.

Mei-Ling Daniell-Greenhalgh, known professionally as Meiling Joy, is a classically trained singer from the UK. She graduated from the music program at the University of Leeds in 2020 where she studied with Austin Gunn. In 2018, she spent a year in France studying at the Académie Supérieure de Musique de Strasbourg. Here, she performed several solo recitals and was introduced to contemporary singing, she participated in masterclasses with Alessandro Amoretti, Karl-Peter Kammerlander, and Jennifer Davidson. As a soloist, Meiling has performed many leading roles in operas such as Zerlina in Don Giovanni (Mozart), Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart), and Dido in Dido and Aeneas (Purcell). She has performed in prestigious venues throughout the UK such as the Royal Festival Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, and St John’s Smiths Square. Further to these performance experiences, she has been involved in various recording and broadcasting opportunities. A highlight was recording Patrick Hawes’ ‘Great War Symphony’, a commission by Classic FM and Audio Network which was recorded at Abbey Road Studios. Now based in Berlin, she studies in the vocal studio of Abbie Furmansky and works as a freelance singer and voice teacher. Her repertoire ranges from jazz and popular classics to opera.

Danai Vritsiou is a concert and collaborative pianist from Greece based in Berlin. She studied piano in Athens with the pianist Stavros Kollias and at the Academy of Music and Theater in Munich with Professor Yasuko Matsuda. She holds a Master’s degree in piano performance, with the main emphasis on Robert Schumann’s Piano music from 1830 to 1838. Later, she also specialized in dance accompaniment and improvisation. Furthermore, during the same period, she attended singing lessons and lessons in the department of Musicology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and in Music Pedagogy at the University of Athens. She is a grant-holder of Richard Wagner Verband in Germany. She has given several solo recitals and chamber music concerts. She frequently appeared with the Athens Sinfonietta and the Athenian Youth Symphony Orchestra, playing solo piano and harpsichord. Danai has played music for short films, and she often accompanies singers and dancers. Moreover, she has played modern original works of young contemporary composers.
