In this episode, we take on the crazy task of reviving a 1959 Jeep Forward Control 170 that has been sitting idle for over 40 years! This classic Jeep has seen better days, and probably numerous attempts to bring it back to life have ended in failure. But we’re not backing down from this challenge. Watch as we dive into the nitty-gritty of restoration, tackle mechanical mysteries…because we’re in our 20s and sometimes don’t know wtf we’re looking at, and overcome decades of neglect.
Will we succeed where others have failed? By the end of this video, you’ll witness the moment when this vintage beast roars back to life and hits the road once again… sorta. Don’t miss this epic revival story! #JeepFC170 #ClassicCarRestoration #WillItRun #VintageJeep #EngineRevival #RustToRoad

Sooooo. 4.0 in the jeep?
Just needs some love . It's pretty sharp.
My son works for oh oh oh oh O'Reilly's Auto Parts
my neighbor had a truck like that he had it since it was new he used it on his farm i used to help him i always liked riding in it !!!
The more you drove the old girl, the more the valves were cleaning up. lol I love the idea of putting in an inline 4.0 from a Cherokee XJ or Grand and continuing to restore it into a little flat bed or even a dumper! Either way, glad you guys saved this rare gem from the scrap yard.
I love it hope to see more
All that work and it sounds like you have two dead holes. Well as long as you're having fun and not hurting financially time well spent.
Glad y’all are back every week.
All red wires.
Heck yes
Dude, on the breaking off studs.
Take a die grinder with a wire wheel, and clean the studs of rust first!
Then spray oil them. No heat necessary.
Cool concept Jeep you got there.
Best of luck.
You guys do know that if the gearshift will move the transmission into second gear that you can "float" it from first to second by letting off the gas a bit and matching RPM's to get it into second, right? Those old FC Jeeps are quite rare, so that one is probably worth getting it mechanically sorted and at least making it a driver. Granted, no freeway action, but still cool around town!
Please sell it to someone before you wreck it completely.
If I can make a suggestion guys, if the motor is beyond salvage look for an old Chrysler flathead six as used in Massey Harris tractors and combines. More cubes More power !
damn excellent video, love to find one to built up and just make it a good driver
I’ve wanted one of these for years. They are beautiful and so capable.
Fun car… ❤ Would make a nice pickup
I love that your first instinct is to take a weed whacker to the wasp nest. 😂
This is such an awesome project! Please keep it and build it up. I would love to see it all cleaned up and off-roading.
Dudes PB blaster is insanely toxic to be breathing. Even more so when it's burning. If you really insist on using that stuff you guys should be using chemical respirators until the smell has mostly subsided. Not kidding! Read the can
Must be laundry day. Wearing your sister's shirt, I see.
You're going back for the red/white truck next to it right?!
Not to restore it would be to see a jeep weep.Restore the body and replace the rest with newer running gear. 6 x 6! Think awesome!
I'm subbed to several auto channels, many of them doing CJs. You get tired and burned out watching such after awhile! Refreshing to see someone doing an FC this time.
At 51:00:00, seeing that FC move on her own power brought me joy. She still's alitlle angry, trying to blow out the cobwebs, but she's running.
Some people watch football and celibrate when their team wins. When I watch this kind of stuff, I have the same reaction. Hell yeah.
Keep it
I bought one in a field for $250 and drove it out.
