  4. There was a movie on Netflix not long ago about a young girl who her parents claimed had fasted for an extremely long time. Sadly i can't recall the title.
    Edit: apparently the movie was based in the case of Sarah Jacobs. In the movie the nurses were forbidden to interfere with the fast.

  5. This happened all the time in the righteous world of the disgustingly wealthy! They built rooms to hide the families shameful secrets! The monarchy did it all the time, Joe Kennedy hid away his shame, just unscrupulous action from someones family, the people who should Care most only care more for their reputation!!!

  9. i think that most woman today would praise Madame Restell as a hero and a pioneer of medicine. whether you agree with abortions or not she was brave and took a huge leap for woman. i believe that most of her problem was that a woman came up with it and took the power from men. may she rest in paradise!!!

  12. The fasting girls sound like a scam. Fasting is good, it isnt just not eating either, but you are not to make yourself sick by, and certainly not charge for "readings". And you need prayer to go with it, did they have a spiritual advisor?

  17. Fyi: We know today that food deprivation, anorexia, even vegetarianism and veganism (if done improperly and without certain necessary supplements will bring about schizophrenia. Genetics may play a part as well. People are being put on a therapeutic diet of high animal fats and proteins with limited carbohydrates to reverse the symptoms! Schizophrenics may really do well following this carnivore diet in a well supported system-family or clinical but of course if they have become street people it will be nearly impossible to help them actually follow the diet as they are still often having visions or simply no access to money for food or a stove to cook with.

  22. Starvation Heights was here in Washington state. USA. People paid the Hazards to starve them for health reasons. Of course the Hazards were helping themselves to money and property. Excellent video!

Many times people want to hear about the wealthy times of scandal but you show the true dark side of how some of the wealthy truly are/were. Very educational for me .   31. Oh dear god! The story of Blanche Monnier is one of the most infuriating, disgusting and horrific cases of abuse and neglect I've ever heard! This is how I know there is no god, b/c a god would never allow torture like this to happen or, at the very least, would mete out retribution to the subhuman perpetrators.

  35. Fasting is still practiced in Catholicism. Those who wear The Brown Scapular, fast Wednesday's and Saturdays, and we abstain from meats, just as we do on Fridays. One must do it for the right reason, say for the sick, the dead or the dying, for conversions, or sin of others, God certainly knows if it is done for attention, or vanity, which would make it null and void.

  36. Spring heeled Jack was apparently spotted in my home city of Sheffield. He is even incorporated in to the Architecture of the Old Queens head, one of the oldest standing buildings left in the City. Also, he was used as a kind of bogey man threat to get the children to sleep. "Old Spring heeled Jack will come for you, if you don't go to sleep!😮
