  1. The chat was really something to behold. 🤣

It is amazing tech. But it is obviously not for 99.9999% of people (us). Not getting it should reflect that.

But the whole brand wars in tech is pretty nonsense now. Many companies make incredible tech and for different people. No need to join a camp in bashing a company because the internet does so.

  2. It's good that they got the strap around the head instead of on top.
If you use a gaming headset, check to see if you're developing a dent in your head. Looking at you Justin! Wit yo bald ass head!

  3. Get the BOBOVR M2 Pro headstrap with magnetic battery on the back. You can keep the foam completely off your face and never get sweaty. Dark room with IR illuminators makes it even better.

  4. Only thing that excites me about this thing is the 'theater screen to your eyes' feature. Everything else is a wash. I'll wait til they figure out how un-clunky they could make it.

  5. Well, objectively speaking, we all saw the MicroSoft-fueled disaster of the clunky MetaVerse mess …

… At least Apple knows how to make streamlined, compact designs, efficient bug-free software and products with excellent battery life. They have sweet chips that don't even need cooling fans etc. Apple is right next to Tesla in software and chips …

  6. In this day and age, you'd think people who are blind because of damage to their optic nerves or the eyes themselves, would be able to put on a pair of goggles like this and be able to SEE, by communicating to the optics center at the back of the brain.

Jeez, in 1975 I saw video machine experiments where blind people could "see" shapes and colors by communicating with the back of their brain, by-passing the eyes and optic nerves (destroyed by fevers, birth defects, accidents, disease). WTF is taking so long?!?

Also in 19751976 I saw a man in a wheel chair hooked up to a giant mainframe computer, walk across the room. AGAIN, WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG?! A person who is paralyzed in 2023 should just be able to wear a small belt unit and WALK.

  7. Remember people were concerned about finger scans and face scans? This is retina scanning. You can change your face and even your fingerprint, but not your retina. Curious what the ToS entails. A lot of spying on you, I bet.

BUT, we used to be concerned about phone tapping, now we have smart devices and no landlines. So I guess who cares

  8. But this isnt even new tech.. This stuff has been around for yearrrrsss. And how is this viable for the average person? its not,its a closed source ,over priced gimmick for rich people lol. Sooo essentially its useless. Its also really ugly and its going to give you a headache and eye strain in about half an hour.. Maybe the 3D camera would be a socially acceptable thing to do 100 years from now when its the size of sunglasses

  9. I mean, it's the first generation product. It's just targeted at techies and rich people – kinda like the first Apple Watch was when they were $16,000. They weren't game changing then but several gens later, it's a mainstay.

  10. imagine if they made it so it gives you live subtitles whenever someone facing you is speaking another language like you are watching some sort of anime
