  1. Have to wonder what OU’s AD was thinking hiring a first time head coach. Especially after OU had already ran him of for not being able to deliver in big games. There is a minority group of Sooner fans who have wisely jumped off the Venables bandwagon but it is astonishing how many are ride or die believers in OU’s current staff. I’m guessing if OU continues to struggle in 2023 that is will be because of LFR and Grinch. But what will Sooner fans say when Alabama, LSU, and Mississippi stomp them in 2024?

  2. There were a number of great candidates that would have done better than 6-7 in their first season at OU:

    Luke Fickell

    Dave Aranda

    Chris Kliemann

    Mark Stoops

    Josh Heupel

Heck if one wanted to go the coordinator route, I'd argue even Lan Danning would have been a better choice. The fact is, Bent wanted to leave Clemson and OU was by far the best job available even if he was not anywhere near the best possible candidate so by rewriting 2011, the Bloomers believe he was the man all along.

As far as excuses go, many Bloomer fans have stated that LR/AG set the program back ten years so Bent will have until 2033 to get things right. After all, he is the prodigal son who left Norman on his own accord to expand his horizon(s) and came back a better man. He deserves at least a decade.. Lmao

  3. You guys are such clowns. Average attendance at the Coll last year was 65K — not quite an "empty stadium" LOL. USC football is far more popular than the Rams or Chargers. Out of any fan base, you guys should know what SC is at full strength. 55-19 fellas. Never forget who your daddy is. Fight On!
