Hi there!
Follow my journey westwards to the beautiful Outer Hebrides!
This time I again had to put up a fight with that big black gennaker. But everything quickly gets forgotten as I finnally reached the shores of Stornoway, the main “capital” of the Hebrides.
Were getting closer to St. Kilda now 🙂

Fantastic Eric , Hebrides' look as interesting as the Orkneys and just as beautiful I love Scotland and the Hebrides' is another part I have yet to visit 👍.
The gennaker will be tamed one day.. not easy with a tiger in one end and a panther in the other. 👍
Great video Erik, excellent coverage and commentary of the isles. You show the raw and true side of single handed sailing.
Beautiful filming. I hope you enjoyed your steak. A big thank you, Erik.
I absolutely love your videos, your stories and your journey. Well done mate.
This was fantastic. I've caught fish at the bay near the black houses, and this summer the kids played at those beaches on Harris.
Another great video Erik. You are sailing in some of the most beautiful places!
Eric, you’ve really outdone yourself with the photography on this trip. I suppose the lay of the land, and the nature of the Hebrides has something to do with the amazing photography as well. I can see myself being a naturalist, and walking for hours along those amazing white beaches checking out shells and other sea creatures deposited in the sand. Keep up the good work and let’s hope you make it all the way to Greenland in the near future.
you found one more Genika method that didnt work, you must be homing in on the perfect method soon
LOL,
I’m glad I’m not the only one who has trouble with my cruising spinnaker! But yours seems especially troublesome! I’m glad I went with a sock rather than a furler, which seems too problematic to be used at sea. However, not using a simple bowline on the sheet is totally down to you! Good luck! Love your videos! Our boat is also in western Scotland this year. Next year, Norway, perhaps!
dun lost his mind!!!
because we can all afford supplements. silver spoon did not come with my boat
I watch ever video you do and a big shout out from Thurso keep up the good work
Love what you’re doing Eric looks amazing again I envy you so much I agree with everything you say keep it going 😊😊
Well said, Die with memories not dreams. Is that why many live so long ~
Erik a very moving and truthful passage you made. If the mass people only new that the world has great adventure throughout. One of our USA writer said this paraphrased. Bigotry, Racism and Narrow Mindedness is due to living in the same place one whole life.
All the Very Best!
Jim Rodgers
Thanks!
Always make sure your sheet snap shackles are of sporting weight so when they clock you in the head, it will smart but not knock you out. I learned the hard way never to trust a snap-shackle😅
As always Erik, absolutely amazing work! We are all blessed to have you share it with us.
Para cuando un cruce del océano Atlántico?????!
Watch Near Death Experience (NDE) accounts for what happens after death, for sure it is not the end! So many people have the exact same or very similar happening to them – floating upwards, 360° vision, a tunnel, a light, meeting their deceased ancestors, a life review, etc… but most importantly, feeling more alive than they do here. Knowing they continue, and coming back here, with no fear at all of death. Please watch some, there are so many on you tube. (I've had one, that's how I know they're true!) Death is not the end.
Hi Erik, great video once again! How'the anemometer working in the back pole or do you have another one in the mast?
Nice sail, @siljelervik Look what you missed. Not as warm as the Med, but the islands and views are every bit as masjestic. Hope you make it onto St Kilda Erik.
JUST GET OUT OF YOUR PROGRAMMED LIFE AND SET YOURSELF FREE….. That opium trade in China was a criminal act by these criminal Lords …. Its quite a history…. Criminals can also be glorifed.
Accidentally found your channel at chapter 1, and being a fan since then. You are not only a great sailor, but a fantastic man inspiring thousands of people better than a coach. Thank you for having you!
Thanks for the wonderful video!
the memorable moments for a peaceful day
F’in’ell everytime! I hear ya mate!
So nice to see you eating better. The longer you live, the more you will sail.
