I have a love-hate relationship with this game. Today switch has a new glitch – anything I planted and any foraging items, bush tree or ground, just donโt give me the option to pick them up or harvest – so there goes literally all of my money and chance at befriending critters
the only bad thing about this method with both harvesting and mining, is I play on switch. 30% of the time my game gives up when the explosion happens lmao
It always makes me smile when I see that the same villagers are used for the same buffs. Scrooge just HAS to help with mining, WALL-E just HAS to help with gardening, and Moana just HAS to help with fishing!

When I did this with Merlin today I randomly had gems and ore appear near me. When I released him he didn't spit out anything. Anticlimactic for me ๐ต
My only concern is if these kind of 'glitches' get patched out because I feel like they're pretty necessary for farming. At least before they devs fix how the valley members interrupt your action by getting right in your face. If they do fix it ever.
I needed 3 mushrooms for the dreamlight chores. I had 4 mushrooms in my inventory, every time I dropped them and picked them up I got credit for one. Worked with mushrooms but I haven't tried it with other stuff.
I also found out, when inventory is full and you run over a still glowing item, it immedietly stops glowing when you touch it and the full inventory message pops up. then you have to pick it up manually anyways.
i recommend to put a chest next to the fence and dump all in before start mining.
Itโs almost creepy how I was thinking about if this would work for mining this morning while picking pumpkins and then this video shows up in recommended ๐
I suggest working a little on your microphone settings. I think maybe it's a compressor or something, but when you start getting a little louder, the microphone is softening what you are saying and it is hard to make out the words.
Iโve only done the fence thing when I knew Iโd be nearby, good to know I can go wherever

Don't try this with fishing, the character will get stuck. But it's fixable if you save and quit so it's not a big deal.

I did this with pumpkins. Took me all day then as I was going to release the buddy my game crashed. ๐ฎ

This doesn't work for me. They stay locked up but still keep throwing me the gems and the other stuff lol

it's not random… they'll go after the last node they give bonuses to… so next time finish close to were you fenced them in.
