Ophion – Let's Play Starfield (Very Hard) #89

A grav drive conundrum resurfaces!
A quick check-in at a very small system!
What might be on Ophion I-a?!
Tune in and find out!!

The first new intellectual property in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios has finally arrived! Set in the far flung NASA-punk future of the year 2330, we assume the role of a member of Constellation, a dated organization of space explorers. In the Settled Systems, 50 light-years beyond our home of Sol, we’ll uncover churning political intrigue, incredible artifacts beyond understanding, immense questions about humanity, and hopefully just a few answers. Expect new videos daily.

Music featured in the closing is “Leaning On the Everlasting Arms”, courtesy of “Zachariah Hickman”.

  3. Hi Lyle, the Ecliptic ships in this episode are named for bladed weapons:

A stiletto is a slim dagger made for stabbing (with little or no edge) and the stiletto heel is named for the dagger. Stilettos were very popular during the renaissance, particularly in Italy, but also gained a reputation as an assassin’s weapon due to being easy to conceal.

A falcata is an ancient Iberian sword, single edged and curved forward to give the cut extra heft (like a kukri or a machete, where the weight is also balanced towards the tip and front). However, the falcata was also made with a narrow tip for thrusting. Among its users were Hannibal’s Iberian troops in the Second Punic War against Rome.
