The best thing about Normal attack on field dps is that I can build other supports to mix n match and not just focus on a single team composition for maximum damage. Childe, Ayato, Cyno… they're balanced enough to be used with other characters that you're never going to use the same team over and over again.

It is a shame that even Keqing, who was considered the worst 5-star DPS, and Dori, a potential healer-DPS just like Bennett DPS in old school national team, can outperform a limited 5-star character in similar comps just because they can do quick swap lmao. The only comp I can think of Cyno being stronger than Keqing is Cyno-Beidou-Nahida-Barbara team since Cyno's attack mode guarantees fewer electro discharges wasted on Beidou's burst and decent hydro application and survival from Barbara's skill. Anyway, Keqing will be much stronger once u replace Beidou with Kazuha in the same comp, bringing in another quick swap, source of hydro application and CC. So yeah, Cyno is that bad even if u consider the dendro archon herself lmao.
P.S. His NA pushes lightweight mobs. Keqing CA's has that weakness but it's optional for her while there's no other way around for Cyno, so u get the idea. It is a fucking mess since quick swap CC supporters are pretty much off the table for him.

2 years later and Keqing is already seen as a feasible unit in the meta… I know she is still far behind other units but I'm so glad my first 5 star is receiving some attention and even using her as a good comparison for new 5 star units
I pulled Cyno in part because the last time I actually rolled for a character was in MAY. I was sitting on a ton of primos, and I realized that I had spent several months just min-maxing artifacts versus working on a character, or learning a new play style. Do I regret pulling for Cyno? Yes and no. I regret rolling for him because Cyno is currently not the same "value" as Ayaka, Kazuha, Yelan, Kokomi, and Raiden—all of whom I rolled for in the Inazuma patch and who I use regularly. I'd say Cyno is more akin to my Ayato pull; he's fun, but I'm not sure (yet) how likely he is to be picked first for Abyss, Combat Events, etc. I am also really pleased that I did spend over 100 pulls for him because he is enjoyable to play—wonky team rotations and all. It's incredibly satisfying to see him claw his way across a screen with numbers flying, and a nice bit of dopamine each time i manage to get his E skill timed perfectly. The reality is: if I truly only held myself to summoning characters who only met a specific meta standard/value—or if I always compared the latest unit to how much utility I'd get—I'd likely roll very infrequently. If I only rolled for "valuable" units, then I'd miss out on one of the best parts of Genshin: bringing home a new characters who simply speak to us and who remind us why we're here in the first place—to have fun.

Did i just miss it or did this man straight up not talk about cyno + beidou in aggravate team? If so, this video is ridiculous. You mentioned over and over again how prone cyno is to damage and interruption, which beidou can greatly help out with. She can also fix a lot of his Aoe problems. On top of that Cyno is the probably the best beidou driver in a aggravate team, since keqings NA's suck ass and raiden doesn't work with her. On top of that, if you equip Cyno with 4TF he can easily battery beidou together with electro resonance and aggravate reactions, and I don't think anyone is going to debate with me, that beidou aggravate is a good (meta) team. I just find it stupid how he presumably ignored the Nr.1 Team that most Abyss run Videos I've seen use. Pls explain. And before anyone comes at me for this, I didn't even pull for Cyno yet, since I'm still unsure where to spend my primos but even as an outstander this feels unfair.
Why pull a character if abyss is not going to be more difficult because the dev not want player to have an excessive anxiety.
One week later- is he still hot? Yes? I’ll take him.
I think 3/5 is a fair rating for Cyno as he is right now. Fingers crossed that he gets better teammates in the future so he can excel in some type of combat-like Hu Tao in single target or Xiao for AOE.

Well I'm hoping Ten Ten will say mid like with Yae and Eula. I like shocking people with the couple of C6 characters I have in coop without others hogging those characters and it's part of the reason I was so happy with the community reaction to Kazuha initially.

I can finally use my C6 Keqing who's been sitting in expedition since like…forever!
i would replace yelan with xingqui for cyno team. placing 2 energy hungry in a single comp namely yelan and cyno will be tough. also, knock back resistance and that little bit of heal from xingqui is really good.
I fail to understand why ppl expect great things from a transformative reactions dps character who no ideal support is out for yet. Like why do these videos to tear him down. Why not just wait until kusanali comes out?
Thanks for taking the time to make a video on this. 🙂 I'm more story and aesthetics driven about which characters I buy (I tend to try and get 1 of everybody because I love story and lore.) But I'm WAY more discerning over who I level. I'm a slower player, so when I use my mats or spend HOURS farming for someone (I'm legally blind. Those scarabs might just break me, lmfao) I think it through carefully.
Why does TenTen pretend to not look at leaks about Nahida when he obviously does in many of his videos?
I use my Cyno in a hyperbloom team, with dendro traveler, xingqiu and candace (because i just like her) and i like how it works, it makes a lot of bloom seeds so im satisfied with that. Also proably gonna drop candace for nahida if i win the 50/50.

I tried aggravate Cyno but DMC is not the best support for him, so I’ll pull Nahida. However in a hyperbloom, he triggered the cores 23k each.
