Safety 1st, everything else 2nd or lower. Phoning (same for video recording) while driving is safe texting is not, based on my ongoing experiments. A lot of people have DIY Steadicams. Do you even need for 4 K for YouTube? Maybe so you can "zoom" in post?
TE does such good work definitely a cut above. Your tag team reviews are the best, and it has been noticeable since Michael joined that there has been a step up in the quality.
I like the way you go out of your way to calmly and respectfully explain things to clear up the misconceptions of complainers. Then again I also like the way Rich Benoit deals with complainers. You both go with your strengths. 👍
Thanks for bringing us this behind the scenes look at your operations and talking with us.
I really think you should look more into drones to help with car B-roll footage. I took a peek at a sectional chart and there aren't that many actual restricted areas in the Portland metro area. You can fly a drone over downtown without issue. It's just most of Vancouver, Washington that has flight restrictions. If you fly along those more remote roads that you film your driving reviews on, there shouldn't be any issue. Just one person from your crew needs to get a Part 107 license and that's basically it.
I see no problem with Nikki, talking in the EV she is in, & recording. The fact that there is a GoPro pointed at her that is recording is neither here nor there. People really do need to get a grip, it isn't dangerous. And it's fairly common practice in the Youtube community…
I love your car reviews; conversation style is good because you work off each other's ideas and observations. A fun game I like to play is who is driving in the B roll… when you swap who is driving the car, I look to see B-roll drivers. Most times you can't tell but every once in a while, I see that it doesn't match. This does not detract from the quality of the review, and it is understandable that shooting B-roll with both of you driving would take more time. Looking forward to future review videos with the new equipment. I never get concerned about you driving and talking, how is this different than speaking to a passenger in your car? (oh just got to that point in the video. Haha). You have been doing this for a while, so I figure you know what you are doing. Love your content, keep up the great work!

Why don't you use a waterproof housing, not to keep it dry, but to keep the camera clean?
I'm sure the camera car will spray up loads of muck onto that really expensive camera.
Chears. Hope I am helping. Great work
Michael is the Silent Bob of T.E.
Ghost. Love Border Collie.
Awesome.
Very interesting insights.
Michael is sure a sexy silent type.

Love hearing about the nitty gritty of how this all gets done, and how everyone is involved in the process. Keep up the great work! <3
There's NO ads here. I watch them so you can get the ad revenues. Google/YouTube are KEEPING those revenues or there's less advertisers paying.

This is a very interesting video, the title did not do it justice.
