Ol Blue Will Be The Death Of Me

Transmission troubles with Ol Blue shows exactly why Trailmater has a manual transmission. We finally got a handle on our cooling system just to test it and find a broken transmission housing. Then we ordered a new housing. While waiting on that we got a call for a stuck jeep on Kane Creek Road. Was a muddy job but it went fairly quick. Then back to reassembling my transmission shows why Iโ€™m not a transmission rebuilder. So back to the drawing board for some things. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

  1. Great video, enjoyed seeing Rory non Chantily fix the transmission good going. But was the fix for the front drive shaft, what caused it not to slide in and out. Serious watching fans need to know. Thanks

  2. I am sure you have it worked out by now but one thing I saw in your new trans test drive was the extremely hard shifts. That will break stuff quick. What you should be looking for is a firm shift with no overrun. That separator plate has probably been drilled for maximum hard shift. Possible the valve body also. A lot of racers like that because it breaks the tires loose on the shift. Not efficient but sounds and looks neat. In a vehicle like your the tires are not going to break before the transmission or axles do. Just something to think about.
