  1. Yeah man. I'm playing it right now on my tab s7, and I agree completely that this should've been all over the consoles. Not just a Japan only release. I do hope one day, we might see it outside of Japan. One day.

  2. This game mostly only need some quality of life stuff and Graphics updates to be ported. And yeah, most japanese companies in general have an issue with a allowing people to use anime music.

It's okay Ed, you can stick with names you like, including Leopardmon: Leopard Mode :v

  3. The first episode of this convinced me to finally try out Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth (I picked it up while it was on sale on steam) and I've been really enjoying it so far :3 would love to see more episodes of this!

  4. Despite popular belief, in the English dub they still have their Japanese names. Their names in the dub are treated as nicknames. In the first episode you still see their Japanese names written in English. The only exception is Tai and Kari having "Kamiya" instead of "Yagami" as their last name due to Toei sending Saban mirrored scans of his character profile (or so I've heard).

  5. Yeah we need remake of this game, and add story from another series like adv 02,tamer,frontier,etc…..since we got plus story hackmon, the story is the same as one of the episodes in digimon digicross x wars, where all mc from various digimon series meet and fight together

-more level and u can try over again
    -more dungeon level
    -more enemy variation
-improve graphic(even though the graphics are really good as a PSP game 😅)
    -official english translation

  6. Knowing this game was the last time the original Japanese cast was all together in one project* gives this game a bittersweet feel in hindsight. Taichi and Sora's actresses both passed away in 2016, not long after the kids all received new actors for Digimon Tri.

*Takeru's original actress retired in 2000, but that's the only exception.

  7. This comes after sinking a solid 25 hours into Lost Evolution with the patch but I think the story and progression is well worth diving a playthrough into. I'd say it felt most like the transition of gen 4 to gen 5 when compared to quality of life of dawn/dusk vs Evolution.

Obviously cybersleuth till trumps it in some aspects but the story x gameplay mechanics works very well since you have to "clean" digiplates (Fossil fighter mechanics) to unlock that digimon's evolution so some players will have to use other digimon lines instead of their favorites.

The "HM" system is necessary for good amounts of the story progression but team building should alleviate that, the worst part of the game is definitely quest based progression the game doesn't tell you about but thankfully there's online GameFAQ articles to help.

  8. About move names, in Finnish translation they were translated from Japanese to Finnish. So we had no Nova Blast mut Mega Flame etc but in Finnish (MegaLiekki) or Garurumon's Fox Fire (KettuTulta). That Finnish dub was legendary though because it was so low budget and was filled with mistakes and just amatourish voice acting

  9. What if the player controlled the Digimon in this scenario? Like, the human partner followed you (the Digimon) around? Digimon usually go off and do their own thing anyways and the kids usually follow behind. What if you (as a Digimon) had certain attacks preprogrammed into certain buttons? As random Digimon approached you, instead of going into a random battle screen, you just fought them on the spot and your human partner hid off in the distance? What if there were swarms where if you weren't strong enough, your human partner could faint and that would mean restarting from a certain point or doing a mission over again? If you're able to keep your human partner safe, that could increase your bond with them and it could trigger Digievolution (through experience in battle as well as your friendship with them). We know that Real Time Action can play a role in JRPGs, but I also know if that were the case, programmers would have to keep the amount of Digimon limited so everything would run smoothly. I think that's where the classic Digimon story could be helpful. If the game preforms well, you can expand on the concept with .02 and introduce Armor Digivolution. It could play through similar story and plot points but because you're playing as the Digimon, certain bits of lore could be expanded upon or new Digivolutions could be unlocked or hidden away depending on how you play. A concept like this could have already been done, so if it has – let me know! I really don't know much about the Digimon games (since most of my knowledge has been from the anime when I was a child), however I wanna give it a go if anyone has any game recommendations.
