  1. Horsey tip: if you use the twilight princess link amibo you can get Epona, she comes with full bond and is, in my opinion, the best and most well balanced horse.
Rupee tip: When you get to the snow fields in the Tabantha region make sure to hunt the moose and rhinos there, they give gourmet meat and if you cook 5 gourmet meat together you get a meat skewer that sells for about 490 rupees each.

  2. Hey Gab, I'm so excited you're giving this game another go! Tip: don't waste your weapons on ore spots, use your bombs instead – bombs are also good for fishing lol. Also if you come across a river that's too wide to swim and you don't have a raft handy, use cryonis (I always forget that power even exists but it can be really helpful!). Some of my favorite recipes were ones using stamina shrooms and hearty radishes, as they are often the easiest to find for those kinds of status effects – use three of a kind together if you've got them for full buffs! If anything ever happens to your horse (which definitely has never happened to me, nope, definitely not 🫣) there's a way to get your loyal companion back hidden in the far southeast corner of the map, just fyi!

  3. The best things I learned from my playthrough:
Wind wheels like the gold one you found are koroks, you stand on the trunk and shoot balloons
    Collect everything you see/find
MARK YOUR MAP – the cooking, chest, and korok stickers are wonderful
Make notes of places that are good for collecting and what you can get
If you have enough stamina, there's almost always a back way into a location that doesn't involve fighting monsters
Make potions as well as food
Always have stamina food/potions on you
Stealth is really helpful for hunting animals, collecting bugs/frogs/fish/lizards/etc, and avoiding monsters
Grab and run is a solid strategy when dealing with most monsters/monster camps
Bomb arrows are incredibly useful, but fire arrows are the next best since they can set off dynamite barrels
If a guardian targets you while you're gliding, drop a few feet before it fires and it'll usually miss you

If climbing, you can also make several jumps before it shoots to dodge
Hitting a guardian in the eye with a normal arrow just stuns it for a moment so you can run for it
Upgrade your sheika slate powers asap
Get Gannon's horse in the planes area – it's massive and basically a tank. I love him.

  4. So much fun watching someone play this new to the breath of the wild world. A couple tips:
Get the DLC items. There's good stuff in there: A bridle that lets you call your mount from anywhere, a custom point teleporter (1 spot that you can replace as many times as you want), Majora's Mask (which most monsters won't attack you while wearing -near a lake just northeast of the plateau I believe), and a few other goodies.

Never mix rocks, bugs, or monster parts into food. Monster parts and bugs can be mixed to make potions – good to have a single of each variety on hand while you explore. (also good money for potions! ^^) The difference being potions have an effect, but don't heal. If I remember correctly, I think the effects last longer as well.

Prime meat is great for making things that sell really well. (hunt the birds with a bow if you want.)

Save your over heal and over stamina items(truffle, salmon, radish, endura-, etc.) to use since they fill you up completely as well.

When you trigger the blood moon all weapons also reset (that aren't in a box). So you can mark on your map with the stickers the location of weapons you'd like to pick up again.

    * As an interesting place (and one you can collect a lot of ingredients to cook with): First head back to the plateau. Then check the singular mountain to the North West. (Sometimes has the Green glow to it) All up and down that mountain are areas with a lot of goodies in condensed places. Checking the forest to the south and west around the mountain as well (beehives and other things are found there). Also, there is a shrine near the top for quick teleportation there.

*Minor spoiler?: Save your Rushshrooms. You'll need quite a few for a quest near the desert.

Sorry for the formatting. I was trying to make it legible. ^^ Hope this helps you get some good cooking things for your exploration. I truly hope you enjoy your Wild adventure as much as we are watching it.

(P.s. Completely extra: If you have any amiibo from Zelda, once a day they have fun stuff (including Epona), and a tie in with Twilight Princess if you have the wolf one. There are unofficial alternatives out there that also work. Making mention them purely as a statement of fact, and also since Amiibos are kinda time gated content… and pricey.
    Collectables. /shrug. Whatcha gonna do?
<head bowed in defeat: hands the amiibo store another $20 for the new Link figurine>)

  5. I don't know if anyone has commented on it, but if you go to the desert first, help out the Gerudo, and do quests for the villagers, the queen will give you a helmet that makes you immune to electricity. This makes the rest of the game so much easier, particularly the Zora area and any time it starts storming with lightning. (cooking with five pieces of meat also makes food that sells for a lot. Getting meat from cows is the best, but any meat will work.)

  6. Hey Gab, you can feed your horse carrots and apples to make them like you faster. For the dogs, if you feed them raw meat, they will like you more and some of them will lead you to a chest. Loving the playthrough so far

  7. Tips: When running, don’t completely deplete your stamina wheel, always leave just a little bit left and let go of the sprint button to recover the wheel faster. If you deplete it, you’ll be extremely slow until it fully recovers. Also, stand on the stump next to that pinwheel at 1:42:24!

  8. Just a tip fir exploring!! Never think you aren't ready, sure there are places that would require some things to easily complete, but, it's just a matter of figuring out how to do it. Don't let prgress hinder exploration!!!

  9. Hi – one of the best recipes is cooking up some hearty durians. They will give you a massive health boost plus extra hearts. They can be found in the Faron region!
