“Still on the market: Let’s hold off on the big name for now. There’s a case to be made for signing 30-year-old Jarvis Landry if his expectations are in check. He’s coming off an injury-plagued, career-worst season with the New Orleans Saints in which he caught 25 passes for 272 yards. He has only played in three playoff games in nine seasons, so maybe the lure of ring-chasing is enticing to some degree. Never a speed demon, Landry would be penciled into a slot-only role, potentially to open things up for Smith and Brown to work downfield, but maybe that’s duplicative with Dallas Goedert.”

“If cheap speed is the allure, two recent second-round picks stand out as undersized lottery tickets. KJ Hamler has underwhelmed in Denver, with just 12 catches in 10 games over the last two seasons as he struggled to stay healthy. At 5-foot-9, 178 pounds, he’s probably confined to a specialist role, but the Eagles would have evaluated him closely back in 2020 when they ended up drafting Jalen Reagor in their search for speed. One year later, the Seattle Seahawks used their second-round pick on Western Michigan’s Dee Eskridge. At 5-foot-9, 190 pounds, he has just 17 catches for 122 yards in two seasons and looks out of the picture after Seattle drafted Jaxon Smith-Njigba to complement DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.”
Right tackles still on the market for tackle depth: Right now the Eagles 2023 roster includes Jack Driscoll, Brett Toth, Roderick Johnson and Fred Johnson.

“Still on the market: The ideal fit is soon-to-be 31-year-old George Fant, who has started 60 games in his career and can comfortably play both right and left tackle. He spent part of the 2022 season on injured reserve with a knee injury but has otherwise been mostly durable during his six-year career. Fant presumably thinks he’s good enough to be worthy of a starting job somewhere, but if he’s unwilling to wait things out during camp, the Eagles have enough cap space (just under $14 million, per Over The Cap) to potentially make things worth his while.”
Possible Eagles trade target:
Patrick Queen is the popular solution here after the Baltimore Ravens signed Roquan Smith to a long-term extension and used a third-round pick on Clemson’s Trenton Simpson. Queen is entering the final year of his rookie deal after the Ravens declined his fifth-year option this offseason. He has been somewhat underwhelming relative to his draft pedigree (No. 28 overall in 2020) through three seasons, but he has never missed a game and turns 24 in August.

Sign Yannick Ngakoue off the street for a 1 year vet minimun, trade a 2024 5th Round pick and 2025 4th round pick to Bmore for Patrick Queen (extend him during mid season if he balls out. 4 year deal) trade a 2024 3rd round pick to AZ for Budda Baker and extend him immediately to a 4 year deal, sign Juice Landry to 1 year vet minimum, sign Dalton Risner 1 year vet minimum and start him at right guard and bring back DJ Fluker for a 1 year vet minimum for depth and Stoutland University development. Superbowl or bust.
