dont really get davis' '49ers cant win with jimmy g' take. they had the lead with 3 minutes left in the super bowl with him. and last year they had the lead in the nfc championship in the 4th quarter with him. clearly theyre capable of winning with him. they know it. theyve proved it. and thats why hes still here.
i also disagree that it doesnt change anything for lance this year. i think hes very likely to have a much shorter leash than had they gotten rid of jimmy g. if he struggles, now i feel like hes likely to get benched instead of being able to work through it. they have a roster capable of winning a championship and theyll act like it if lance struggles.
