  1. Its perfectly playable. I just wish it had that cross platform multiplayer, because thats all that really holds this back. If I could for example take my main pc save and bring it to switch and play that on the go, that would be fantastic but Im not holding my breath waiting for that to happen anytime soon. Playing on Switch isnt half bad, its actually pretty smooth, and with the new patch, updated visuals and yeah that fsr patch that changed the game… it really is awesome having this game in super portable mode. The best part is how the switch can run it so well on such low power, you could play this for a few good hours before needing a charge. I think a lot of people forget that when dissing the switch versions lower spec graphics.

  2. It's obviously not the best way to play, but it is a genuinely solid way to play it. "Impossible" ports are getting better than ever and I'm glad they are. Down ports are important to gamers and give folks who can't own multiple types of hardware a chance to play the games everyone is talking about.

  3. I guess I have standards that align with the expectation because I think it's probably one of the most impressive games on the switch and for it to run as well as it does just plain impresses.

Also the reference is from the Fifth Elementy.

  4. To be fair to NMS on Switch, Switch games have this weird issue where pop-in and stuttering can depend on install location. An example would be Zelda BOTW freezing for a few seconds to load while moving fast or during a long play session when installed on an SD card

  5. 49:26 That isn't actually a crash. If you just go to the home screen and then back into the game it'll resume 100%. Not sure why it happens, but it's at least an easy fix.

Looking towards buying on Steam to try out the game in all of its glory, but I've absolutely been loving my time I've played on Switch!

  6. I have seen it on the shelves at EB and JB HIFI and I often chuckled at how it would ever perform on Switch but yeah this video certainly shows it is decent. It amazes me how many games actually have been ported onto the Switch obviously with a graphical sacrifice but this game seems to do a decent job.

  7. Thank you anonymous briber ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

All I have is a Switch and was looking for a video on the latest update. I've been wanting to get into No Man's Sky for a while and the current sale is tempting.

  8. Kinda crazy how many hardware they have to port every update for. PC, PS4, PSVR, PS5, PSVR2, XONE, XSeries S/X, Switch, with these either varying in power, or experience (VR dev for PSVR and VR2 are always different, but even the dev between those two are very different).

  9. I've played on pst for years, invested in vr too which is mind blowing. Bur the portability of the switch is immense, with oled and the new tech I can't complain. People put too much on graphics if it's fun it's fun.

  10. I notice that occasionally it will crash when you are in your Frigate with this new update at random. Expeditions set it off I think but I will test it further to see if that is the problem. Everything else is ๐Ÿ”ฅ.
