  1. This Expedition is giving me flashbacks to my Permadeath run, it was only after I managed to get my Immortal title that I understood just why so few of us have it, utter madness and frustration if you get a glitchy death that you can't avoid. At least in this you keep a bit of what you've achieved unlike a real Perma run where it's just GONE. Scottish Rod's video about backing up your save might be really helpful for people, I know I could have used it when I hit Phase 4 and got a dodgy cliff that ended up killing me.

  2. This will be the first Expedition I don't complete. I gave it a shot, but after 8 hours and another death I realized that I have not had a single moment of fun whatsoever throughout the entire 8 hours I've been playing. I can handle Perma-Death, I've played it before and enjoyed it, but the resets combined with the ridiculously inflated cost to upgrade to a level that makes it remotely survivable has turned my favorite game into a arduous ordeal with zero redeeming qualities. All for a final reward that I have no interest in getting. I'm very happy for anyone who is actually enjoying this Expedition, but I honestly don't understand how anyone could be doing so.

  3. i thought the anchor points was a reference to the whole time loop thing…i kind of wish they made it to where you progress was saved to the anchor point, so that instead of going back to the beginning when you die, your save reverts back to the anchor point

  4. "dapper" and "cool" are not the words I use to describe the planet hosting Anchor point 4… "murderous" is probably the only one I can put here! The sound track of this whole expedition is "Warning- hostile ships approaching….. Warning Incoming storm…" on endless repeat. The rewards are useless… I'm only trying to finish it out of sheer bloody mindedness now! (I've been on holiday and previously stopped playing it when a glitch killed me in the 3rd loop).
