  1. Doom's Day will be niche, whereas TV episodes will be mainstream. Advanced hyping of a mix of such projects leaves us never knowing how big a deal an announcement will be. I suspect that is a considered strategy.

  2. If they are going for a young CBBs audience to bring new young fans on board, I imagine little ones will love the trailer. However, if this is supposed to appeal to fans of all ages I think they've got the tone wrong. Surely trans-media across lots of platforms is aimed at a range of age groups. I'd be interested to know who their marketing team is pitching this to.

  3. the only thing I don't care for is we have to do all kinds of other media to find out her story. I don''t get the comics or listen to big finish so I hope I don't miss to much cause they are doing her story more that way then on tv

  4. From what I have seen if this character so far – i am not convinced that I will enjoy it, maybe though it is not designed for long time Dr Who fans. Maybe this will be new Class/Sarah Jane adventures. To quote Private Fraser we are all doomed…..😢

  5. Very odd. Assume the target audience isn't adult fans? Strange they have gone with a stand-up rather than an actress. She hasn't got the acting chops to convince she is an assassin. Reminds me of a lost Fast Show sketch "…and I was a deadly assassin… which was nice". The production values feel very low rent. It's like the kind of thing you get in a cheap video game or an intro to an escape room. Time Lord Victorious wasn't a great success, very strange they are trying a similar thing here.

  6. Hmmm let me see Thomas gets DVDs video games books toys etc what does doctor who get fuck all and yet it's popular why am I not surprised we need more than just spin-offs like more merchandise heck games would be nice it's going up against the likes of star wars, of course, there needs to be more the spin-offs are great but the content is lacking the fact that they keep churning out big finish stories left and right is overwhelming and I feel like they're going a bit overboard with it I mean for god sake slow down the amount of stuff that they keep firing out of that office is insane and it really needs to stop I wouldn't be surprised if they end up overworking the staff because of strict deadlines
