  1. New World needs delaying. It's half baked atm. Combat feels like you are stuck behind an OAP when ya in a rush. Build diversity is a joke. Endgame content for PVE seems to be absent while the PVP elements will die off quickly as mega guilds take over servers. And to think Lost Ark got delayed for this mess of a game.

  2. Thanks for all you’re great videos Narc. I love the concise sarcasm and humour but I have to disagree with you regarding the LFG facility, as I’m dyslexic and there is nothing worse than reading text!… unless you consider people who use open mics and transmit every little noise around them instead of utilising “press to talk”…. I’m hoping that there will be a group finder. As I’ve always played a healer or tank that spams dungeons I’ve always used dungeon finder to find great people to play with and my enjoyment increased significantly when WoW introduced it. Just be mindful that we all like different things. If we only socialise with people with the same opinion as our own, then you just create an echo chamber where you think that your opinion is popular when in reality it may not be. Though I’m sure this is a principle you’re trying to advertise here. I did preorder in order to play the beta and now that I’m £40 lighter I plan to give it a go tomorrow. I do feel as though New World is designed for a mobile device with its limited combat abilities. Maybe they’ve done this with making it cross platform? Who knows? But then again FF14 is cross platform and you can use a keyboard and mouse on the PS4 (which should be an option for all their games imho).
A good combat system and the ability to spam dungeons as group content, build a house and maybe a great mini game would be my ideal.

  3. yea convenience destroyed world of warcraft, and all gaming companies should be aware of it. I think if you make UI convenient and leave gameplay as it is, you will have new age of modern gaming that is good, I mean who can be bored for walking in new world instead of taking mount, you are sitting on your char and having fun (if u use your imagination), or who can be bored by gathering arrows or ammo for your weapon, if you are criticizing then you are spoiled, no doubt about that, I would give u to work on construction site for 8hours without modern equipment, then you will change your mind because all you do is in the end sitting and enjoying content (if u are tired of walking you can always toggle PVP on, or gather things in new world, and if you say u are in hurry because u want to grind faster, then you are again mistaken because u are in competitive mindset which is always in hurry looking for end results, as this modern community is, crushing others for their goals, doesnt that happen in real life as in games too, instead of taking it slow with time and having fun. it seems if u disagree with me here that u are just arrogant or you are too ignorant or dumb to understand… 🙂

  4. I'm looking forward to New World (to my surprise actually). I still expect Ashes to become the better game (hopefully), but I wonder about some of what you said here. The biggest was about the PvE AI… do you really expect the PvE AI in Ashes to be much different/better? It's a serious question, not a snarky snap back. I don't see many game companies doing effective AI, and I have no idea what Ashes is doing with it.

  5. if you are ignorant – then you could change your mind and be fluid
if you are arrogant – then you can't change your mind
if you are spoiled and looking for convenience – then your mind will always look for easy way out
if you are competitive – you are always in rush and not able to enjoy things right as normal mind does (you will tend to skip things to rush things out, for example some events that occur between players in open world, just to get ahead of everyone else, in real life people that are too competitive have compulsion to enjoy other cripple and fall, in gaming its different only because games supposed to be competitive to be able to be fun, but if you cross that line it is compulsion and not normal things.
Now convenience is way of modern man, and competitive mindset was always there every society in some quantity (even though you can be normal and not cross the line), now I ask you, how do you see modern gaming industry to fix problems while they are not aware of their mind while they make content, and some designers are even arrogant yet they are in lead of making content for that specific game. I don't see bright future unless someone with clear mind make a game for us to play. I mean how hard it is to mmorpg game, It should have few pillars like crafting and good gathering systems like new world has, new recipes with new patches so it gives us that grind, new materials with each patch and raids and dungeons, maybe new battleground/arena. If they make all that in new world then game is good, even better then wow for example because it has such good crafting system that it makes it playable for many hours.

  6. I could not wait for this game, It was a new hope, some good copium.. but after playing the open beta a couple weeks ago, I got to level 25, so I definitely gave it enough time by the way.
I realised how much of the game I spent having to just hold W key.
it was constant running maybe even 3/5s of my time played were just running in-between objectives. And you cant even tab out while doing this as you need to control the path of your character.
So you would need to hold W key for about 5-10 minutes each time without tabbing out and on top of this you not even open your inventory while running, I realised it as time for a refund.

  7. The open beta was an older version of the game…its been posted on the forums. It was to test server stability and thats it. The AI is pretty bad but it seems to get better with higher lvl mobs so maybe thats on purpose. I have quite a few gripes with the game but as a whole its better than WoW and thats all i can really ask for right now

  8. The PvE combat does need work. Not just tuning, but real work. The original unrestricted PvP warfare vision of the game meant that PvE was a bit of a side show during their core systems development. Since they redirected to focus on it, it's still showing that legacy and needs attention.

  9. The white knights are everywhere! But so are the haters. It’s too bad people struggle so hard to be objective. If we could just enjoy games for what they are, while constructively criticizing the bad, that’d go a long way. Y’all stay safe out here 😂

    Great video, Narc 🤙🏻

  10. I was so disappointed in the New World Beta that I requested a refund. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone with how many people are enjoying this game. Don't get me wrong there are a few things it does well, but overall it lacks almost everything that I want in an MMO.

  11. I guess I will be one of the few not playing this game. I have. No desire to be a conquistador, the armor looks stupid to me and it just doesn't work in my wheel house. But, I do hope you enjoy, and all the others thst will play it. I, like you've stated, give it a month tops…at that. Another great video, keep em Coming!

  12. New world wasn’t marketed as a PvE mmo it was marketed as a PvP mmo but then they realized that they needed to have proper PvE to make the game actually function, which is understandable to whine about but to make a whole video saying that all MMOs need to be criticized while you constantly jack off Ashes of Creation which isn’t even out yet is hilarious

  13. Well Said my friend well said. Keep the awareness rising, Its time we rekindle a respect based, passion and love base relationship between the gaming community and the developers/publishers. Its time we remember we are partners, they make, create, we play enjoy their creation. But we NEED to respect each other.

    #END TOXICITY! END DIVISIVENESS.

  14. I'm pretty sure wow added lfg because of player feedback and i don't know if the ff14 community specifically asked for the changes they got. There was more wrong with the game than the game's direction.
I agree with your criticism of new world's pve but this came across as you disregarding the opinion's of those who disagree with you. I think you should focus on your argument and possible changes you would like to see.

  15. New world is fun and im extremely excited for the release of the game tomorrow but this isn't a "Take off of work, sells the kids, and divorce the wife" type of game. Don't get me wrong the game is fun but I don't think it's worth grinding 24/7 and pulling all nighters each and every day just to play. The game is fun but I do not think it will live up to all the hype that it is suppose too. I may just be old but I like the tab target system and i'm not a fan of the action combat style.

  16. I was pretty disappointed with my AoC monthly cosmetic pack. I got the Empyrean one back in August 19. The artwork looked amazing.
Seeing (in the Alpha streams) how the Stag of the Boughs stature was the same as a standard deer, or the Titanbark Mail looked more clunky, than agile like the artwork, were letdowns. The Pet looked great though.

  17. "Not once was I challenged by the mobs out in the world, not once was I worried in a dungeon, not once did I come close to dying" – My overall feeling in MMOs. It's actually rather tiring playing through an open world that feels like a tutorial that will never end. Wasting so much space on areas they won't even reuse.

  18. 100% agree. Constructive criticism is valuable for self-improvement and improvement overall.

Some people may not like it because lies can be more comforting than the truth.

I’m a childhood fan of OSRS and recently with the RuneLite HD plugin the community came together to peer pressure Jagex to allow the 3rd party plugin for the game to be released.

117scape was the player who made it and it took him 2 whole years and Jagex nearly invalidated all of his work. But due to the criticism and backlash his work didn’t go to waste.

    Great community 🤙
