Joining host Chris Hedges is Lara Marlowe, journalist and author, to talk about how her former husband and colleague Robert Fisk encapsulated all of that in his years as a journalist and writer and how his work, specifically his book “The Great War for Civilization,” serves as one of the West’s great tools in understanding the modern Middle East.

  1. A vote for Dr. Jill Stein is null & void in Ohio, due to the ballot not having her correct current VP in ballot.
Anita Rios (old VP) dropped out last month.
The Ohio Secretary of State, Frank LaRoses office confirmed this travesty, blaming the Green Party for not submitting the change in a timely manner

  3. Id bet right now, before even seeing a second, that Hedges does NOT mention one of the most important historical figures in the creation of Israel. He also never corrects anyone when they misuse the definition of antisemitic as there are 77 branches of Semitic speaking people in the region, the largest population being the Arab at 500,000,000. Hedges is a gatekeeper. Louis D. Brandeis, the first Jewish US supreme court justice is the guy, and Progressivism is the movement, he is busily hiding.

  4. US has always failed Arabs repeatedly with their fork tongue lies. I truly pitied poor Arafat for so many reasons. All he really wanted was an honest peace brokered with the Israelis, and the Israelis kept playing tricks on him, finally killing him.
Sharon was one more horrible Israeli leader on Palestinians.

  5. Great interview about a great reporter. Regarding the quote about Seamus Heaney, he's the man who said that no glass was ever raised in his home to any British King or Queen, then when the English Queen came to Dublin, sat in the State reception meal for her and presumably raised a glass to her with the rest, while protestors were prevented by Irish police from even getting within earshot.

  6. All American governments since the assassination of John F Kennedy have operated with impunity. Robert Fisk was excellent at uncovering and reporting the stories with precise words and clarity of thought. He scolded everyone and that was his genius. Miss his presence in the current geno cide and mass killings.
