New World is approaching economic crisis on some servers. The developers have spoken out about the point that they will intervene but here are some of my thought on how to correct the current economy and ways to prevent this from happening again.

No NPC to vendor is really hurting the game imo.
Game looks like ass. Unsubbed.
I like the idea of a player driven economy in principle, but in reality if Amazon doesnāt add in npcs to sell too and find a way to stabilize the economy itās gonna end up being a nightmare. Concerning taxes I think they need to add in consequences if the taxes are raised to high to fast. Maybe if they are raised to fast the towns people will revolt and throw out the current faction. This would make sure factions arenāt using this as retaliation. Instead of high taxes give them perks from the npc vendors in the zones they control.
The economy is not sustainable because there is no way to remove gear and such. I prefer to not lose gear, but if you run a game that way there has to be a min and max of everything. I like how Black Desert sets prices of everything, and changes it as the need changes.
I would like to see the come back of permanently damaged or broken gear. Every time something gets repaired it loses some of its overall durability until it breaks permanently. Then you need to buy a craftable high end repair kit or buy new gear. If this is supposed to be a player driven economy then you need to create a demand for a supply.
Salvaging armor and weapons should give you Iron, Steel, Rugged, Silk and stuff like that. And if you are at cap repair kits, you get no coin for salvaging, you should still get that 1g or whatever.
An NPC vendor was my idea back in beta to help give a way to sell or buy low tier ingredients. I think that would also help with players having a hard time with generating coin. A simple solution to exp rewards being useless for townboard quests at 60 would be to changes from xp to coin.
This is what a player driven economy does. Things rise and fall depending on the demand. Thatās how it works.
How about vendors to repair your gear? Like in 14? I like the vendor idea.
Nailed it! that's why crafting in theme parks is largely a joke and crafting in proper sandboxes is king. crafting is a waste of time and useless if your just showered with gear left and right.
My server is thriving, we have a casino š° in our server it has shot up prices in Everfall and all over
And we have alot of rich people on our server because of it, Iāve seen people win 30k off a game of dice
Regarding xp. Why not after 60 keep the xp ālevelingā rotation and after each rotation give the player a reward. Some key item of some sort.
Ideas:
1) Make trading posts all link together, would help stabilize prices and make 0.01 go up, more people buying for different town boards in one market. Taxes still go to the settlement where item was purchased.
2) Allow players to sell items from inventory. Helps avoid taxes while logged in.
3) Make all armor/weapons bind on equipment. Increase value of crafted items.
4) Give crafted armor/weapons an additional perk or ability slot.
5) % of tax money not used goes back to homeowners in the settlement after X amount of days. If Companies sit on money and donāt upgrade the town I bought a home in, give it back lol
what we could talk about with amazon when legendary gear in this game farms like from 2nd time killing world boss with respawn 2 min =_= in
They realy need to take a look at Guild Wars 2 economy and how it works…
Youāre absolutely right about loot drops making crafting worthless. They need to overhaul their loot watermark system, which currently depends on plentiful loot drops.
there is a vendor. his name is salvage.
plot twist amazon crated a deflation economy and they are the ones selling the gold.
Agreed, Iām already done with the game until the fixes are done. I was just aggravated after playing last night, so when a game makes me that unhappy dealing with trivial issues that can be fixed itās time to step away for a bit.
From an outsider perspective this game needs weapons only to drop in dungeons and weapons and tools to be breakable. They don't have to be made of paper, like in Breath of The Wild, but they need to be fragile enough so that PVE and PVP players will need and want to buy weapons on a regular basis.
Many MMO's have already figured this bit out so hopefully, New World will also. This is actually something that is easily solved.
The only one to blame for this is exploiters and cheaters causing all the problem high tax 1000 gold or moore a week on tax is insane we dont pay that much tax a year on a house in real life
I think they need to change the exp on town board to $$, for 60s. Right now you get more $$ from killing random mobs. This would help with the money issues.
