Amazon’s MMORPG New World has a lot of unique system when it comes to combat mechanics! Due to this there are a lot of tips and tricks you can use. I’ll do a deep dive into melee combat starting from the basics. You’ll learn about attacking, blocking, dodging, cancels, rolls, criticals, grit moves, stamina gauge, stamina damage, stuns, iframes, staggers, knockdowns, and all other types of combats mechanics! Use this guide to help you get better at the mechanics in melee combat so that you can be the last person standing in your dungeon groups and show off those sweet skills! It will also cover damage types from monsters weakness and resistances as well as critical and backstab hits!

I started spacing out your tutorial and starting reading the company drama you had between those two people. funny stuff lol
So, unless Grit has a specific interaction with Riposte stuns, you're wrong with what you said about Grit. You can be stunned out of Grit attacks. You cannot be staggered out of Grit attacks.
I think stun goes thru grit, but stagger and knockdown doesn't
