  1. 😃I took about a 5 year break from NMS on Xbox and just bought it again on sale on Steam and have spent 30 of the last 35 hours playing it in VR on Quest 2 via virtual desktop and Shadow ☁PC 🤗🌌and 😁I'm a Flat-Earth-👽420 🛸

  2. Me and my mates are gonna leave the game for a bit, the whole craftable tech upgrades and S class upgrades now overloading everything and resetting inventory expansion slots in a way basically kills any motivation but from what I've seen it may be a bug.
The whole tech inventory slots being expanded is nice but we as a group and individuals had a tonne of technology and upgrades for everything and we are worried the space wont be enough.

  3. Hello Games doing Hello Games things…releasing something and fixing it after the Community comments. Might be easier/better if they involved the community, but I'm not wrapped up around the axle on it.

  4. I am delighted about the differentiation between ship types and the bigger bonuses for upgrading everything shame they didnt think to do it in the original 4.0 release but I guess this is a good way to demonstrate that Hello Games is listening to player feedback! I. like the Waypoint update overall but then I came to the game with an early access mentality so restarting is in my blood so to speak!

  5. This is why I love and respect the dev team of Hello Games, despite so much backlash and issues near every update, they double down and do what they have to do to fix the issues and satisfy us as players. I've only been playing for 3 months and it's been one hell of a ride I won't be getting off anytime soon

  6. Thank you for infos Bob. Players are overreacting. I also lost a few things with these changes. I'm sure if there were never any changes it would be much worse. The game has improved overall.

They should take this as a new opportunity for a fresh start. And finally, it's virtual items, it's not like your life has changed…

  7. I've certainly gotten my money's worth out of this game. It's been improved by leaps and bounds over the years. Played for a little bit on my latest 200+ hour playthrough to see a ton of upgrades nullified. Last update screwed up my freighter base. Felt like a lot of lost hours. More annoyed than pissed off. Wish they'd spend some time on making the POI more varied and interesting.. Probably will play again down the line when I feel like learnin' the new stuff, just a bit of a buzzkill right now.

  8. It's fine and dandy and as it SHOULD be, however if they had pushed this through experimental before going live and listened to the feedback there, the community wouldn't have divided as it did. So I'm not that impressed that they are patching, it should never have happened.

  9. So I found a way to get alot of vaulable mid- late game resources in this new patch, so I was using you're technique of finding ships using emergency maps, and I found an A CLASS and for me that's awesome, when I scrapped I got a A class photocannon mod added it the base ship and then continued found a locked building and fought the sentinels and the got into my ship and kept fighting to my death, when I loaded back in my ships on the ground busted and all my boosted mods are broken like that A class
mod with cadmium wiring loom and an ion battery, can't really get cadmium yet so I scrapped it and it gave me, all 3, in full returned, 125 cadmium at over 10k wiring loom at 25k and a free ion battery. Instead of selling the tech you don't want, install it and force a break then scrap. Then sell the higher end resources like cadmium at a good profit and use the lower end stuff to recharge ur gear.

  10. Is anyone else getting a glitch I seem to be. Haven't tried on Xbox, but on switch, whenever I go to exchange a ship, freighter, or multitool with another, the purchase cost and the exchange cost are the same. It's not factoring in the value of the owned item into the exchange.

  11. I’ve experienced nearly every one of those bugs that they patched as well as a handful of others, all in addition to my displeasure with the changes to menu ui, removal of cargo tabs that cost me a lot of time to max, locking up my technology inventory by giving me just enough slots to hold the technology I had, and countless other changes that just ruin the game for me.
I expressed this immediately after that patch like many other passionate veteran players though calmly and factually unlike most. I did say and still feel that I won’t return to the game until things are set strait at least in a progressive way that makes sense to the entire player base instead of catering to one fraction and ruining it for another. Right now my current problem preventing me from being satisfied even on top of these bug fixes, is the changes to how the game saves. If I can’t reliably control both soft and hard saves in a way that I understand and makes sense to gameplay, then I have no ability to take chances with the game nor farm scenarios, which unfortunately for me takes the fun out of it.
We’ll see if they can pull it together and respond through updates instead of promises, to fix the game in the eyes of the community and it’s player base as a whole. Good luck to the devs 🤞

  12. This debacle demonstrates that an elephant in the room is not being addressed:
When will the game be finished?
    Where are these updates going?
Why are we still seeing updates that need "fixing"?

Focus is desperately needed going forward. Stuff like this just shouldn't be happening. It's a bad look for all the newcomers Switch will bring in. I am wondering what we can do as players to help HG get into the mindset of finishing No Man's Sky so we can stop having to work Q&A for them.

  13. Sounds like HG are actually listening and above all respond to the feedback that they’ve received following the waypoint update, which is probably why so many have decided to wait before giving up on them.
I admit that I was one of those who was initially deflated and frankly disappointed at the new update but thanks to videos like yours and just getting back into it, doing a little resorting of inventories etc I am starting to re-adjust my gameplay again and it’s growing on me. Yes there’s still some fixes required but we know HG will get to them soon.
I still have some major rendering issues on the PS which lead to falling through terrain though which are a bit disconcerting (like dropping into hell😵‍💫) but I’ve reported those so fingers crossed.
After watching your new startup videos I’m also tempted to start a new game too.
I thank you for the voice of calm and common sense. It certainly helped me. 👍
