  1. The Apothecary’s Magnum (as it shall now forever be named) is probably my favourite space marine relic and I practically take it in every list. It doesn’t always go well, but when an apothecary is popping off big heroes and monsters with his “I’m gonna make you feel better with a 22” diameter bullet wound” pistol, it’s hilarious. Great list Beard! And so great to see maelstrom bringing some life to 9th edition.

  2. I was not a fan of the original Maelstrom due to the army composition I had available at the time, and being a new player then not understanding didly squat. But THIS (combined with my updated armies and understanding) looks like what I need from 40K right now! Both to watch the gang here play more often, and to play myself!

  3. Even with the inherent "luck" involved in Tempest of War it seems pretty damn well balanced if this game is anything to go by. Flexibility in placing the objective markers and terrain is awesome too. Super scripted GT games are a dull for everyone who isn't a competitive player.

  4. This was super fun, also the board today was really gorgeous. Chef laying out ten years worth of GW tempest content in 15 seconds at the end of the game, lol. Normally id say hire this man but id rather he stayed here 🙂

  5. I haven't watched any bat reps in awhile and had to cancel my sub to your website cause of money issues but this was just so enjoyable to watch it makes me really miss it all! great energy, great bat rep, and just super fun overall. keep it up guys!

  6. As a guy who has played about 10 games of 9th over the last 6 months: I f**king hate secondary objectives. They're over complicated, stressful and contrived. I find them more influential in how you NEED to engineer your army list to fulfill abstract quotas rather than having you make interesting choices in the game. That and, even though I'm rock solid on the game I've found them very difficult to keep track of mid-game, always needing my opponent to help me out. The culmination of all of that making them a massive barrier into actually playing the game.

This looks like WAY more fun and, honestly, much more interesting to play.

  7. I love your guys content but the old filming format was better. The majority of the shots are of the players or close ups of the models. It’s hard to follow what’s happening on the table. Plus the nicest shots are of the whole table, makes it much more epic. Please bring back the old format! Will still continue to watch and support regardless!

  8. Definetely Tempest is what 9th edition required. I recently started only playing Open war because eternal war just gets too boring after some games, but this is a really good balance to still play Matched/More competitive, but really interesting and rewarding

  9. I love your channel, you guys pump out reliable and high quality content – but I do wish that we had more view of the board and the models instead of whoever's rolling the dice. Just my 2cents – thanks for the batrep guys!

  10. I retired from 40k last year because I realized the sad truth…GW is just adding new floors to a building with a rotten foundation. 40k can never be balanced with "patches", it has to be redone from the ground up and that's never going to happen because MONEY.

  11. Can confirm Tempest of War rules. Makes casual play so much better and, in a way, faster. Fewer things to remember/lookup about your army, and it's the rare GW product that can support two players in one box. Wins all around.

  12. New lore, Necrons are ancient humans the original guys to war against the old ones… Terra humans evaded the living metal curse and took this long to claw ther way back to the stars so long has past that neither side knows/recognize the other

Nevermind its not new lore it's all in my head😅
