  1. I was watching Jardio of all streamers during the stream event two days ago. His take aways were as follows…
    -New left click damage does not matter as you still can't out damage a player being healed/pocketed. Her lack of mobility also means getting in the back line isn't always viable to make use of the upgraded damage.
    -No freeze with left click means you no longer have the ability to contest against tanks. A quick look at one of Dafran's recent youtube videos will show just how important freeze is in a 1v1. Look for the video "How to counter Roadhog, Dafran plays Mei"
    -The ice wall is very fragile. The defense aspect of it no longer matters. It's mediocre mobility at best.
    -Using left click on an enemy who is in the process of being frozen from Mei ult no longer accelerates the freezing process, it cancels it out as the game registers the beam as a different effect, therefore letting them escape.

  2. The nerfs they did to her are devastating and the direction they took her into is wrong. Her right click is still the same, but you weren't against flankers or heroes with a lot of mobility to realise how bad her beam is, they basically took her entire utility away and "compensated" with some stupid damage that just lowers the skill floor of the hero, and ultimately waters her entire kit down and takes away her whole identity and mechanics. I feel Mei needs to be reworked to tank because utility was what made her fun not some stupid damage, and make her freeze less annoying on the receiving end against the solo tank, for example increase the time required to freeze based on the healthpool of the enemy so she is less obnoxious against the solo tank, entirely taking away the freeze is a very bad idea and creates more problems than it actually solves

  3. So many heroes losing their identity in OW2 🙁
    Seems the only heroes who get to maintain their "fantasy" are the ones who are basically McShooty characters. Hell, even Cass feels less like himself even if he's still strong.

  4. I still think right click should be the way to go and left click should just be a finisher if you're dueling close range. Her left click should never be used in OW1 unless you're playing against bad players and this is even more true now.

    I still think she's better as a tank but I think giving her her old M1 would just make everything feel in the awful in this game. It's a full stun with no CD. Even if you think tanks are the only one that should have CC this would still be overkill in comparison to other tanks. Rather it'd be better if she had a better engage or mobility.

  5. I really like how Mei's unique playstyle is now gone and she's just a Soldier 76 with no explosives and an extremely short range weapon. And her cryo freeze is a deathtrap, and her walls have no impact on the match.

  6. is so annoying that people keep defending this disaster by saying ''hey, its free'', like you should be grateful of getting a poo candy because its free.
    Devs ruined overwatch pushing it to be another usual fps, the only good thing of overwatch was how diverse characters and roles are, like a FPS/Moba-ish that was a great concept, you had the bowman, the mele ape, the call of duty soldier, the jester that used traps, the freezing girl, the flying rocket launcher. Now the are all lame call of duty soldiers with small differences.
    We have a fucking reinhard becoming a long range character with 2 slashes, sooner or later reinhard dwill have 5 or more charges until the hammer starts working like a shotgun, MARK MY WORDS

  7. For the entirety of OW1 I’ve been a healer main, until I learned how to play mei and I have loved her ever since. Them removing the freeze to be able to completely shutdown a hero makes me upset but imma hold out faith and maybe try to work with her in the next game ):
