  1. My brother sprayed 20 acres for a customer and it didn’t suit his Hardi sprayer it blocked the filters about every 700 litres / 150 gallons . It’s on about 10 weeks now but so far no changes in the grass volume

  2. What pressure did you spray at? You mentioned 115 psi up front but the gauge is 100 max. Thinking more like 50 psi running?
Nice rig. I have a RK74 getting acclimated to my place

  3. Josh, I wish you would have a contest where the winner got to stay and work their butt off on your farm for a week, to get some "hands on" experience in learning how to use all that great equipment.
That would be better than any old spa or a trip to Reno.

  4. Those microbes in supersoil are easily killed by treated municipal tap water, because of the added chlorine and either the hexafluorosilic or hydrofluorosilic acid, that they add to substitute for sodium fluoride.
Treated tap water does the same thing to humans and animals biome,it kills off of both beneficial and bad bacteria.
    Test your water.

  5. I work in cancer research and for the last decade there has been much more attention directed at the human gut biome and our ability to fight off cancer. I feel strongly there is a similar relationship with the biome in the earth from which our food comes from. Thus the health of these cattle is very important. I wish Josh had dairy cattle on these fields too. It would be interesting to collect some data on the quality of the dairy products and their impact on end users.

  6. Did Super Soil say anything about daytime vs night applications affecting the biology? Meaning, does the full sun UV harm the biology and nighttime applications yield better results?

  7. Dear Josh,

This is one of the few channels that I never miss a video. You have also inspired my wife and I to build raised beds and start a garden. Thank you.

  8. New subscriber here. Found your channel after just watching an episode of Hank and Willey over on Hamiltonvill Farm. Hank brought up that he had been your Drill Sargent in the military. So figured I'd check ya out. Seem like you have a good channel. Looking forward to watching some more videos.

  9. Hope the math was wrong, but – @25 g/m , 90 gals would only cover just over a 1/2 ac. Just thought I'd check, lol… Definitely will be interested if it works. How long since tobacco was grown there? Don't think I've ever caught that history, lol. Thanx !

Really like your videos and completely explained why you do it. Regeneration farming and ranching has really gotten my interest recently. I relocated from Florida to Idaho and I found some ranchers here doing regeneration but they don’t really explain practical applications. Great content and passion.

  11. Did the manufacturer suggest spraying at a specific time or weather conditions? I'd worry about the sun killing off your microbes if you did it during the middle of a hot sunny day. Or washed away from a heavy rain.

  12. Josh, I hope you are spraying when temperaturss are coolest during the day. When you spray at a high pressure makes a finer mist which could possibly let more spray evaporate in the high summer temperatures. Something else to consider on which kinda of spray tips work best. The regular fan spray or flood tips. Sorry I hope I am not over stepping. The micro nutrients are a great soil builder. I have been using some liquid calcium to help build our pastures ph back up along with rotational grazing. Enjoy your videos and love to share with you also.

  13. Oh I want one of these ! I only have a herbicide sprayer with boom like this.
Does this run off any HP tractor or you need a big guy like yours ?
Can't wait to see the outcome in a month or so..

  14. Here's my concern with using that type of product. Where do those microbes come from? Are they even suitable for your area? You could introduce a million of those little yipe yipe dogs to the African safari for example.. Some might live but for how long? Do you even know how many of those microbe are still alive after having that bag sitting on your shelf for months? It seems to me that you'd be better served spraying compost or worm tea made from compost and worm castings produced on your farm. At least that way you know the microbes being sprayed are native to your area, suitable for your climate and won't disturb the balance of your local ecosystem.

  15. Just a note. Two things to think about. The spray pattern you are trying to achieve, have the height of the boom to have a small over lap. It can be easily set up just using water in your vat. Secondly your random pattern may be ok, but having the loader on the front you can add a bar to it and drag a chain on each end to mark your spare lines. Just some advice from an old cockie – farmer!

  16. Since the nozzles spray at an angle you could say you get a 20 ft swath of spray from those booms. At 4mph you would be able to cover about 9.6 acres an hour. I did not catch how many gallons of mix per acre you were supposed to apply. As someone already suggested, you could test run your actual gallons per minute(or hour) by a staic run of your sprayer with water only. If your tank is graduated you could get that rate in a few minutes, if it weren't, you could mark the water line and run your sprayer for the few minutes and then measure how much it takes to refill the tank thus determining your flow.
I hope the product does as advertised.

  17. Good video, maybe a good sprayer.i tried to order the 90 gallon unit from the Hopkinsville, Kentucky store today. I was told pay in full then they will order the parts. When the parts come in they will assemble the unit. Then we can pick it up. The process will take aeveral months. I guess they don't need the sale. I know i will find a different machine.
