New Colorado Board Meeting Scheduled – What Does it Mean?

Colorado has a board meeting on the books again. Will it actually happen this time? Pete Thamel delivers a great state of the union address for conference realignment. Virginia and North Carolina are the biggest prizes left on the board.

  1. Great show! Vacation starts 7/1 for 3 weeks! We will also be seeing the SD zoo, a Dodgers home game against the Angels. Disney Land, whale watching, the Hello Kitty Cafe in Irving, The Queen Mary. Then we head to Moab UT to see Arches. Then Denver for the AVMA convention and to see friends. Then the Sand Dunes and home. Go Cats!

  2. John you need to do a “reverse expansion” live show. Say that adding any schools is not a good idea and that B12 needs to fill current dead weight schools. Get your subs worked up on a slow expansion news day

  3. No idea why BY would deny visiting Memphis, if he did visit. It’s part of covering all the bases on expansion. If the pac stays together Memphis & UConn would be viable options.

  4. Several reports that if Big 12 takes Memphis into the conference, FedEx will pay 160 to 180M per season for the naming rights of the Big 12. So it would be the FedEx Big 12. That's a tough amount of $$$$$ to turn down for a business guy like Bret Yormark. So could he have been in Memphis, without visiting the campus? 100 Percent. He could've been meeting with FedEx reps and School reps there. I've got ZERO doubt that a guy like Bret wouldn't take a listen to someone offering the conference that kind of money per season. You might want to look into that John Kurtz. And Memphis did get 350M approved from the state to essential rebuild the Liberty Bowl from the ground up and into a new stadium

  5. Colorado BOR just can’t get their heads around that the best alternative is to leave the narcissist elites and join the truck stop winners

  6. John, I don't know if you read these comments, but I'd like to hear what you have to think about the Big 12 only taking two schools from the PAC. I think if the PAC can stay together but in a much weaker state with less revenue that benefits the Big 12 in recruiting.
Also, I'd like to hear what you think about how soon a team could be added to the Big 12. Could Colorado depart now and join next year?
