  1. People were so hyped about variety in this game especially when it came to multiplayer. Unfortunately the gap between things that are meta and things that are just ok is so insane. Why rock any… other build besides bleed or frost realistically?

    It goes back to what you said about having to limit yourself. But then the issue can become one of loosing more than you should. Just because you put limitations on yourself and that’s just not fun.

    You gonna use a slow UGS that can need 3 hits to kill with no true combo or are you gonna use a katana that can 2 shot? Greatswords also got gutted in this game with nerfed tracking and no innate hyper armor.

    Seeing people use this flask for monster poise and or infinite FP to spell spam. Bloodhound step has almost become a necessity in these invasions very boring. You can’t even reliably punish missed parries with a backstab anymore and I’m mad what is followers sabers WA in an ash of war no longer guard breaks😭

  2. for me madness build are soo broken right know, like a dude yesterday 3 shot me with that sniper madness spell, he was spamming, and i could not move, because i was in a stunlock for almost 4 seconds

  3. Honestly I feel that the only way to nerf some of the most broken things in this game is to just straight up remove them. I'm not saying this for op weapons or spells and such, I'm saying this because I've been bombarded by mages whether it be dueling or invading and they'd use the flask that gives them infinite mana and just spam the most op spells they have. I've fought people who've used flasks that basically give them infinite poise with the tons of poise they may already have (which they mostly do) and have fought too many people using the fingerprint shield with spear/rapier combo to know some of these must either be removed or changed to such an extent that it will no longer be as broken as they were! In DS3 if you attempted a poke behind a shield/greatshield you receive a small animation which your characters poke attack is interrupted due to an enemy or opponent hitting your shield but in Elden Ring I once killed Rykard just by hiding behind a barricade greatshield and spamming the attack button with me not once being interrupted as I was being bombarded by attacks with Rykard desperately trying to kill me by to no avail! To make things worse, if you yourself are not using the infinite poise flask you will have no ability to fight against these turtles since they can easily stun you do that they may never be punished! Anyone who uses such a broken combo simply for the enjoyment of easy wins loses my respect immediately. Here's the other problem, I don't even want them to remove the shield cause in Elden Ring shield builds (builds that use the shield as a main weapon) have such opportunities that past souls games other than DS2 didn't have.
    The rant went longer then I thought but good God they have to fix at least some of these things.

  4. They should severely cut the time down to 30-45 seconds with the physick in pvp/ multiplayer. Also I only invade and don’t duel, but do hosts in a duel 🤺 usually have their great runes active? I know I can’t use them so my builds don’t rely on rune arcs, I dont have an issue either if I’m invading someone and the host has his great rune active. It just seems a bit more obnoxious in a duel setting.

  5. When will you learn that From doesn't give a fuck about pvp? This is not a high level FG, it's never been balanced properly and it never will be, now it's just worse. Enjoy the game for what it is, play what you like and then move on to something else when it get's boring.

  6. Thank you for this video Jee. Your opinion matters a lot because of your experience and knowledge.

    Everything you said is true and if you made any sort of videos about things that are broken/exploitative with reasoning and/or evidence I think it’d go at least a reasonable distance in convincing other players that some of this stuff is clearly no good. And maybe we’d get some positive changes. I hope so at least.

  7. What helped balance mages a bit was them having to wear low poise armor for more mind. This really breaks the game unfortunately. I'm also curious if ultras stagger at 133 poise. Might be a good counter

  8. I use the wind year that gives better rolling and 5 dex so i can have 40 dex, the iframes let you completely roll every bit from the melena katana without timing. As for this year every time I see its use I just switch to two cross spears a d wait the right out for 3 mins and just counter hit any attack.

  9. I had used this in invasions/duels and decided to not use anymore. I think one of the real cancer is the "poise" in this game, many bugs/exploits could be fixed very soon but i doubt this will be fixed since its kind of a core mechanic. The game is awesome with all those weapon customizations, combat itself, mix ups etc, the options are so much but everyone have been sticking one shot or specific OP builds, where is the enjoyment.

  10. Right now, i think that change equips during multiplayer should be disabled, i feel sorry for mages that have to select spells before hand, while i just have to swap over any weapon/armor/amulet at any moment in an instant since i have my inventory already "memorized" at this point.

    You can argue that mages can do just the same, but is just reinforce my point further, the spell system is now obsolete since we can freely swap gear and have "infinite spells(arts)" and regen for each situation.

    Sigh, I'm having more fun with invasions on 40-60, my "meta" will definitly not be 120-150 right now. Makes me wonder that maybe is overeacting since everything is new…

    How long did they take to the final balance in DS3?
    And are the pc servers for the souls series still dead? Asking just to have some idea of how F. we are if things continue like this.

  11. yeah 100% agree. I'd hate to have every duel vs a full bull goat set mid rolling with an infinite stability greatshield and a poking weapon. Poise adjustments would solve both these issues because people wouldn't feel the need to stack that much poise anymore which will make equip load less important. Also Poise makes a LOT of lighter weapons completely useless (straight swords, curved sword, thrusting swords…)

Didn't even know there was tear to lower equip load but Jesus that's really good especially how bad to me I think endurance is in this game, because I can't really do the build I want unless I pump alot into endurance and I still want to use other stats. I mean I love Elden Ring and it being open to mutiple things you can do like having more freedom with builds but the problem with that is that there's possibilites of having broken meta builds, like bleed, frost and madness, and they're cool ideas but put into practice and learning that these are very strong kinda ruins the game and same with the physic flasks I mean I understand it's in the game but I'm sure it wasn't that intended to make a broken builds, not least for pvp. Idk but I respect you trying to limit yourself and I wish many did but unfortunately that's not the case at least for now because from there's so many new players and which means many new people who would be like that and abuse the meta because they just want something easy and make I boring for themselves, hopefully things will get nerfed but nerfed where not everything will feel useless, hope Miyazaki finds a way for that.
