Atalan Jackals CAN now stretch out from blips BUT are restricted to staying within 9" of battlefield edge and only ONE model needs to touch blip. That could account for their points hike?
Shooting now makes you not eligible to shoot. Weird that this wasn't the case for… how long? Reminds me of early 8th when someone went to a tourney with 8 Saint Celestine's because she lacked the Unique keyword.
I don't understand how the Crisis Battle Suits get to 200 hits? 18 suits + 3 commanders is 21 dudes with 3 shots is 63 shots, even counting in the sustained hits 2 I only get 83 shots on average.
Y'all podcast quality is ass
the death guard have finally become viable, I cannot wait for the codex I am so hype for these buffs !!!!
You know, I'd agree with yall on Tau being A tier, if they removed the second bullet from the army rule.
It never made sense for the bolt enhancement strat to work on a las cannon anyway for death watch. Meta chasin is always a bad idea.
So Eldar will go down from 70-75% to 65-70% winrate.
Are you sure TS going to C tier? Really? Perhaps, you should be more cautious…
Tsons definitely got it too harsh. I don't know much about aeldar but it really feels like we got it much harder than they did
Honestly I'm really bummed about DG not being the durable guys. The imagery of a nurgle marine still slaughtering a squad of guardsmen despite being half blown away by a lascannon has stuck with me for ages.
While the improvement to Skitarii is great, I agree with Quinton, it's not remotely enough.
There's TONS of oddities in the index, the biggest one being the faction rule (doctrina imperative) not applying to ANY of the Techpriests, including Cawl. Which… faction identity reasons is ludicrous to consider, they give the orders, they enforce the doctrinas. Ironing these out I think is incredibly easy and I PRAY to the Omnisiah that they have done so for the codex release come 2 to 3 months.
The faction-rule also doesn't work on the 1/3rd melee part of the army, which has some fun models to run (Dragoons, sulphurhounds, Castellans), it restricts you to only deployment zone and has anti synergy with models that already have Heavy (NONE of admech roster has an innate assault option).
These things could be changed with different detachments for sure, but that feels like an incredibly low hanging fruit. Almost so low that it feels like giving Rad bombardment as a detachment rule to start 10th with feels like negligence to the few players that DO take the time to build, paint and play Admech. Rad bombardment is lore flavorful yes, but the gameplay impact is stunningly low.
