You can ping your discorded targets through walls. That's pretty strong as well
I hope he doesnt get nerfed, tanks are way to fucking strong, im not a gm tank main but i am a masters and it is ridicules how strong tanks are in ow2, zen is needed unless there gonna nerf zarya and orisa hard

zen should just do what "purple" does and stop people from healing as long as the orb is attached and/or give it a timer and cooldown
I love playing Zen but I would absolutely be in favor of removing discord orb completely and instead give him another utility orb to place on his teammates.
Instead of having one enemy take a global damage boost you can instead maybe put a damage boost orb on one of your teammates.
Then you could put one healing orb on one teammate and a damage boost orb on another or choose to put both on one teammate.
Flats, Discord's been like this since launch. Actually, it was stronger at launch because it was a 50% debuff. This shit is not "new".
It's been was one of the best abilities in the game since launch, but NOW it's "OP"? Sure, bro.
Zen is a glass canon, his abilities are supposed to be strong, because if they aren't then he can't do anything. His healing output is low. He has no mobility. The only think Snap Kick allows him to do is keep people away for a bit.
If you nerf it further, it might as well be useless. If you make discord useless, we might as well start making other abilities in the game useless because no one is allowed to have fun abilities.
To be honest though, mercy boosting damage vs. boosting rate of fire is essentially the same thing… like they produce the same result since the faster you do damage still = doing more damage. So instead of 1 boosted bullet doing 50 dmg (for ex.) but being 1x speed, the increased ROF would just be 25 dmg at x2 speed which would still be 50 dmg in the same amount of time it takes to hit 1 damage boosted.
Zen should probably have a timer for how long discord orb stays on the same person. Once that ends, you can't put it on them again for another 6 seconds or something like that. Also, lower the damage dealt again. I love playing Zen but we have to admit, Zen in ow2 does WAY too much for the team. Having as much DPS as your actual DPS players and healing a lot is insane.
Discord has always been busted, but zen overall has been balanced due to no movement abilities and being very meh at dueling his counters, which obviously after Snap Kick and the removal of a tank, zen needs some tune up/down.
And on a side note, I've never understood why people complain about him doing high dps because like, what? You want ANOTHER support that does lots of fucking healing? Like Ana? Moira? Baptiste? Even mercy and Brig do more healing then Zen. Y'all were to mad that Symm did NO healing despite being a clear support character.
They need to make the discord a passive that stays on the last enemy zen hit and after like 6 seconds goes away

Literally just add a cooldown/timer on target. Ex. Only stays on for 5 seconds then a 10-second cooldown (definitely not the right times but just an idea). Makes him weaker without changing his identity.
The over hype and crying out for nerfs to zen are silly.

I reckon discord should be lowered to 15% and have a cooldown. Maybe a good 3-5 seconds with the discord on someone and than it will go on cooldown for 10 seconds or something. I dunno, maybe that's a bit harsh?
Look I love the idea zen has? But make it more of a hard thing on pc, as a controller player I find it quite hard to play
Discord Orb needs a cooldown and to only be one a person for like 8-10 seconds if that. and maybe a reduction of its use. but then his healing orb should heal more
One of my friends was saying Zen should have to load Orb of Discord like Hanzo would a sonic arrow and you have to land it on a target to apply. And then have it return on reload.

It was weird watching him complain about how lazy discord is and how op it is in the first match but it still took a few tries to kill that Sigma, and all that guy had was a Lucio for support.
Zen mains get shit on all the time. Really sad to see you join in on it.
Reduce the extra damage and give him a hex (like in dnd) so whenever a discorded target dies whoever kills them gets a burst of healing and maybe a bit of it stacks with the ally who has harmony to increase zens overall healing zen has a massive hitbox and no movement abilities so if he is nerfed too much he will become useless.

Now that we have moira's new ability that reduces damage done if hit could discord retain it's power if it was a skill shot ability in. similar vain where you have to hit a player or within an area and that applies discord for x amount of time and it's on a cooldown.
Flats if you see this and feel like answering, what characters do you think need reworks? I don't believe Overwatch can stay relevant without reworking many of the DPS characters, but hey a plebs opinion in a sea of plebians
Maybe instead of discord increasing the damage the target receives, it can reduce the amount of healing the target receives.

potential rework for discord orb… instead of damage amp, how about healing received reduction?
consider it to be a lesser anti-nade (something like 20% healing received reduced).. tanks would be able to duck behind a corner, drop it. get healed back to full, and have their whole health pool to tank with, the supports would just have a harder time keeping that player alive through healing alone
There are many suggestions in comments, my suggestion is to remove discord orb and put it in left click. Hitting enemy with a ball will apply 1 sec refreshable debuff.
what if discord would increase your vulnerability for both damage and healing? then it becomes high risk / high reward kinda of thing on the team level

Discord orb should be a skillshot and drop off after a few seconds regardless of line of sight, as well as near-instantly being removed if out of LoS. In exchange, bump his healing up by 5 or 10 HPS. Alternatively, rework Discord entirely to heal the ally targeted by Harmony based on the damage taken by the Discord target, maybe like 30%?
You know what's funny? Someone as Seagull complains about Brig but plays Zen.

No one could contest her (she was one clipping everyone) and it's totally fine for everyone. But god forbid a support that protects the team to be strong. There's something stupid about the mentality of playerbase and developers both.
