About 800 paratroopers from the US Army’s 173rd Airborne Brigade, the Italian Army’s 4th Alpini Paratroopers Regiment and the German Army’s 26th Airborne Regiment performed several jumps over a drop zone in northern Italy.

These airborne operations saw paratroopers exiting the US Air Force C-130 Hercules aircraft. Following jump operations, Allied soldiers exchanged jump wings and airborne badges belonging to their country, a cherished tradition among paratroopers.

Airborne operations is a demanding discipline, requiring constant training to verify skill and safety. Jumping alongside NATO Allies allows paratroopers to familiarise themselves with how they operate with other Allied soldiers.
