  1. Two reasons thst helped the turks drone sells:
    1. They sold armed drones when other participants didn't allow export of armed drone (israel, us to non NATO countries, france, etc.) and to countries who couldn't buy "western drones".
    2. They are very cheap. Also, the further the lira fell (from 8$ to 26$), the more popular the drones became.

Two reasons preventing turkish drones from western armies:
    1. They weren't granted permission to fly in civilian space (see Switzerland hermes 900, UK watchkeeper, Germany IAI Heron) and they do not follow NATO protocols (see NATO universal GCS, NATO standard A/G communication, etc.)
    2. They can only fit turkish weapons and electronics (like france does with their aircraft) and require turkish OEM suppliers for various changes, fixes and modifications.

What I'm interested in, is what are the turks drone sells profit margins? After deducing r&d, engines and material cost, how much do they earn per drone sell?
I belive their margin is very low, and they rely heavily on governmental funds, which is fine but problematic in the long run…

  3. The name "beykar" actually applies to DRDO which has been puttering around with drones for 20 years without any success. Forget drones, we don't even have drone-capable munitions like smart bombs, air to ground rockets, small cruise missiles. Not even basic infantry rifles. Shameful.

  5. Seems like you didnt do your homework well, actually tb2 has the EW capability, and head of Aselsan said that it can jam radars from 100km away.
Also, When Turkey say it can fly 24 hr and 1 ton payload, it shows when it has the everything on it with full capability, however Chinese show it different as without weapons

  6. Akinci is far the best dron in the marked! Why? It can lauch trg 230 IHA, which is a Supersonic air to ground missile. You can send this Missile 150 km, and even s400 will not be able to handel this Missile. It will include air to air missile very soon, and also the aesa radar. And rokedsan has many missile system which they can implement to it. As well as, Aselsan made new Elektronik warfare pots for this. If you hava akinci, it can cary any mission without having a dog Fight 😊

  7. I liken the TB-2 to the Ak-47 of drones, easy to operate, cheap and reliable. It's going to sell like candies in the coming decades. Some say that it only worked well in the first months of the Ukraine war, but you don't know how much difference that first acclimation to the drone means. It makes a huge difference for the coming course of war. Also they continue to do recon work for Ukraine, just more silently.
