Jesus christ Nintendo needs to hire some fans to make their sprites because god damn. Anyone who has played some good fan made pokemon games knows these "pokemon" are a joke compared to what they could be with some real thought or effort. Pokemon Xenoverse is a perfect example of what a pokemon game could be if the people making the game ACTUALLY CARED, AND PLAYED. But nope, we are presented with these companies hiring artists to draw random sprites when they've probably never even heard of pokemon let alone played it, and this is the result we get. Weird robotic looking creatures where literally 1 pokemon from gen 1 looks better than the next 50 in gen 9. Sad
You missed a few and i have some terrible news for showdown players every single past pokemon has chlorophyll and every future pokemon has electric terrian makes me faster WHY!?!? how fucking lazy can they be and god the meta is gonna be a shit show
I just can't get over the starters. Why does every f**** starter need to be skinny and lanky these days? Not even the quadruped looks intimidating, especially not with its thin body and stubby limbs.

Finally getting a Poison Steel type and it looks kinda neat. Been waiting for that typing for quite a while personally. Just missing Poison/Normal and Poison/Ice to finish off the pairs for my favorite type.
Overall, not the weakest generation. I'd say it generation 9 as far as Pokemon designs is a little better than Generation 7 and 8, but honestly, a lot of my favorite designs are just upgraded versions of past designs. Primal Donphan and Iron Tyrannitar are cool, but they're just alternate variants of past Pokemon. Also,Armarouge and Ceruledge have to be the most overrated Pokemon ever. Sure, Pikachu and Charizard are quote unquote overrated, but I actually still like those two to an extent. But Armarouge and Ceruledge are were I ultimately draw the line of what looks like a Pokemon. They look like humans in special armor.
I didn't expect much and yet I'm still severely disappointed by many designs.
Honestly? It gave me the same sense of "What IS THAT?" I felt when I was a kid. Sight unseen prior, I was looking at a lot of these new 'Mons and thought to myself "Some of these Pokémon must be from other dimensions or timelines!" A very cool concept that gave me a palpable sense of adventure. IDK Maybe it's just me.

Very interesting. Some of them look quite bizarre, cute, or derpy. I don’t know if they entirely fit Pokémon in my eyes, but at the very least this generation looks to be entertaining Pokemon design wise

I like glimmora and slither wing and the fosh are great besides that tadpole it's evolution is cool tho dolphin sucks ass and idk why they didn't make the regional bird or regional bug 3 stages ruined it they didnt do enough three stages and made pawmi one which is dumb I feel like the best designs were cut short the locust could have a third stage with its other leg out like a centaur and would be cool so I don't get it
