Nami's not just a founding member of the SHs pirate but she's also the heroine of the series. So rest assured she'll play an important role in this final saga. Oda has already hinted at this several times in his interviews when talking about Nami.
Also I think Oda has deliberately been hiding Nami from the Gorosei's eyes for some reason. Oda doesn't want the Gorosei's to take notice of Nami's existence.

Right now Nami is facing against Saturn in the manga. She just protected Robin from getting stabbed. We'll have to see how this interaction goes. So far it doesn't look like Saturn has taken notice of her. Even tho the SHs aren't in Saturn's priority ATM. They are getting in his ways and he does seem like he wants to kill Robin so Nami protecting her right now might mean a Gorosei would finally notice how special Nami is. In one of the earlier chapters when they heard Nami's voice for the first time it did pique their curiosity as to who the woman was. Oda was very particular about having that dialogue there. So it could mean he is cooking something here. We'll have to wait and see where this plotline with Nami and The Gorosei goes.
