Not a fan of Azami and Akane needing to diet/be skinny to "become prettier and prettier". They looked very cute before, they just wore unflattering clothes and hung out with crap people. Bigger people can in fact be beautiful, find love, and live happily. The story's message would have been nicer if they didn't need to change their weight to be happy.

To answer your question Akane at the 1:42, yes, you are right, that was my thought. To the end reason was just two bitter fatties, I guess it's easier to attack other people than do something about to yourself. Well, at least they reflected their actions and went for the diet, and things and them look better now. Although Kuroki & Akane couples have tendency to end bitterly, so Kuroki watch your back.
