What are the odds of winning by using Invasion of Amonkhet to make a Lost Caverns of Ixalan god infinite and then sacrificing it a bunch of times Aristocrats style to drain the opponent out of the game in Standard? Letβs find out!

khans of tarkir is on arena now, I would love to see a return of 34 siege rhino
I do wonder if there's something you could do to make this a commander deck hmmmmm
I think the black two mana removal spell would be better in this deck. It let's you discard, which this deck wants to do.
Best of 1 is extremely lame.
Lagoona beach π
Been running this combo in a totally different shell for the last few days (sorry if maybe that's how your opponent knew π ), using dig and filters with the Tunnel-Grinder, and render inert to easily flip the amnokhet. Bitter Triumph is also a staple for decks where you need to put something in your hand into the yard, while also taking down a threat! I've had turn 4-5 wins with perfect hands, and others that have taken a little longer. It's a fun meme deck π
There's also one more creature that we've had in standard for over a year with the same ability as the God's death transform. Edgar Markov. He has one advantage over the Gods, he doesn't return tapped. He's worth running for a different flavour, or if you don't have enough wilds for the Gods!
Clay Fried Bicks had me dying 34:03
Would this be doable in Grixis where the Red god deals damage equal to its power? Or would it have to be expanded into 4C no Green?
30:46 everything was on the board for the win there. Charm back the Il-Kor, attack the battle, copy Aclazotz, legend rule, repeat, win.
Should be function too if I copy a Rona in the Graveyard and activate the transform ability?
Poor Crim, a full Espervdeck and still no Void Rend.
Wow, I learned TWO things from this, that you can rebound an adventure into the creature, AND how Lazotep Convert copying an Ixalan God returns as itself and not the opposite side of the card.
Also really love how this just turns into a grindy midrange deck when the combo doesn't come together. Great video!
No fucking way Seth got the names of the gods right
Aye, were blood brothers!
why don't you play bitter triumph in that deck?
It's not only removal, it also allows you to place your combo pieces conveniently where you need it – in the graveyard.
Also you can do the same thing with the black and white Edgar form VOW. That one is easier to get in the grave, when you have it on the battlefield (since you can sac the artifact as well). + he provides blockers (with Lifelink!) for days
This is a really silly rules interaction, I love it. XD
This new set was a nightmare for Seth's pronunciation. I find it hilarious he can pronounce "Ojer Pakpatiq" right but calls Kaito "Suzuki". Never change, Seth.
I'm sorry when did he play with the Green God? what video was that?
For a 3.5 piece combo it went off surprisingly often. It's a pretty cool deck!
Throwing Ratadrabik in here would be ridiculous, especially if you add in the white god. Not necessary for you to win with the deck, but it would be fun
That was super sweet.
The cheeky adventure synergy with the Whale is cute, but with all the targeted removal you're already running, I think those slots would be better served with Depopulates, especially in BO1.
A lot of mistakes, if you want to broadcast you should practice more, I used to like the content, but not lately. πββπββ
am i misunderstanding somthing… in the graveyard it wont be a creature it would be a batle this doesnt make sense. this doesnt work like this please some one help me what am i missing shouldnt it be a battle in the grave yard not the creature side?
at 38:39 with lazotep convert as a copy of aclazots on the battlefield and an Elas il-kor, with a 2nd lazotep convert coming into play couldn't you perpetually legend rule the aclazots to combo off without needing Bartoleme?
Is there a reason you say lagoona beach?
Can someone explain to me why the god copies don't come back as battles when they die? That's what they should be when you flip them.
Why does no one block the attack on the battle? Weird
Like just block the one attacking the battle and this entire deck stops working. Like wtf
I was so interested to watch, but his voice is actually giving me a headache. Seemed like an interested deck though.
But seth, there were 6 Gods in Lost Caverns of Ixalan!
This week and last week were goofy decks, but they didnβt quite feel like against the odds. Silly combos are goid fun, but what happened to playing bad cards?
this ish got me day 1 of release and iβve not seen it since. op spammed karn so i thought it was crimβs secret smurf account.
Hope Arena gets this shit loop fixed. ππππππ
Against the Godds
the video would have been great had it been Bo3…
I threw a blue black deck together with this interaction right after your short. I have had so many scoops after they kill the bat god 1 time and it comes back.
Haha I also have cards that I praise, but that definetly sees akward situations. Like 'Tolarian Contempt' from MAT. It can be really powerful, because it can potentially delay your opponents card draws, if they decide to put the creatures on top of their deck. If they don't, then fine. But it can also be really akward with creatures that has really strong ETB triggers like Atraxa and Etali for instance π
I have used 'Tolarian Contempt' in a mono blue tempo/control deck before, and in that deck it went pretty well. Really frustrated my opponents I think (which does makes me feel bad. Why I rarely play control), because I had enough countering spells to potentially be able to counter the creatures when they were about to enter the battlefield again.
So this is where that card is good. If you didn't get to counter several of your opponents creatures earlier in the game, then you can use 'Tolarian Contempt' to do it at a later turn, when they'd re-cast their creatures. Like you'd do with something like 'Fading Hope'.
Now, I don't usually play these kinds of decks very often, since I really hate playing against them myself π So I have tried the card out in a mono blue midrange deck. But for that it's not really that good, because you won't have enough countering spells to back you up. In a control deck, the Tolarian Contempt and countering spells are having eachothers backs in a way, which is actually kind of cool π
I swear i saw this youtube title on cover of my isekai trash fantasy light noval. Seth is secrectly weeb confirmed.
Invading Amonkhet to exploit a loophole in the rules and win on the spot with infinitely sacrificed zombie gods does seem very excessively on point, flavor-wise. Nicol Bolas, eat your heart out!
"Laguna Beach" my favorite beach in California hahaha!
"Horned loch whale's spell side is Laguna Beach" is my fave seth card name yet.
Deck needs render inert so we can flip th invasion without needing to deploy a creature
This is pretty funny with Ratadrabik
17.42 cut down's actually pretty bad against monastery swiftspear
