My first time in Chiang Mai up in Northern Thailand was amazing, but how it happened was surprising. I love Northern Thai Food so I just had to say yes this mystery offer.
I’ve never been to Chiang Rai and this trip was sudden and unexpected. It was quite the adventure as with one day’s notice, we flew from Bangkok to Northern Thailand. We enjoyed Thai Food, Thai hospitality, and met new Thai friends. It just goes to show that saying ‘yes’ is something we should all do more often.

  5. Chiang Rai is my favorite province in Thailand. I'm northern thai people but I live in Chiang Mai 3 hour from Chiang Rai. I go to Chiang Rai every year since I was a kid (My aunty lives there). Good place and food. But if you want to travel to Chiang Rai Please avoid to go there on February-June!!!!! There is smoke from burning farm all over the town. From mountain and Myanmar. Best time to visit Chiang Rai is October-January. June-September is good everything green and fresh but you can't do outdoor activity because of the rain .

  25. Good point Chris! I`ve been to Chiang Rai 2019, but you showed some new places to visit, at the time I visited we had a short visit to Myanmar too which was nice after my last real trip to this country at 2015. We just had our 3 or 4 hours there and had some Myanmar beers and then back. At the time we really didn`t find in Chiang Rai any good restaurants to revisit. Nice to see that now they have.
