Hey Shane, I looked out for you on the Saturday mate but didn't see you. Agree on the Pitt & Giblin, they were best on ground for mine. The state 1 and 2 rooms were the most impressive but they did have the biggest advantage with the largest areas to work with. Special mention to the hey now and proac rooms. The Park room with the massive Krix system was super impressive, the walls were shaking. I agree with all of your other points.
GM ☕️🍩🦘 I just missed Jason (Audio 🤠Junkie) at Toronto Audiofest…oh,well. I went there with a friend who has never been to the show ..he had his eyes, ears and more importantly his mind opened up to what is possible in audio. Rooms would be great or meh ..as usual not everything worked as far as the exhibiter wanted.🙄 Some standouts Jason will have vids out..but I’ll attest the Magico ,Kuzma,Playback Design, Boreson and CH Precision set ups were just phenomenally good. Have a great week ahead 13:08 happy 1 year anniversary 🎉
A very honest Preamble to your summary of the show. Some American show reviewers need to take note as to honest reviews. It's about the music…not price. Excellent explanation as to rooms at times being difficult to set up.
Mark and his family did a great job and made everyone feel welcome. Thank you StereoNet for mission accomplished!
Will be an Ambassador for the show and your channel. Very refreshing. Added where one cannot go wrong with Rune, Geoff, Mark, George and Company… special thanks to Nirvana and Magenta for promoting my restoration system.
… By the way, lots of records sold and restored in the record fair area….the show visitors that I met were all passionate about music! Lots of stories. Enjoyed restoring records that were meaningful to some visitors.
Added as part of the shows su cess, the venue staff were fantastic and helpful.
Room with the Brodmann Speakers was sounding spectacular, CEO of Brodmann did a great job presenting. Amazing lighting and acoustic treatment, easily the best sounding room at the show.
I went into one room and it just sounded so wrong to me. I walked around the room and said I think your speakers are out of phase. One guys pipes up and says I think you've got an ear infection. I kept listening and said, no, something is definitely wrong. The demonstrator humored me and took another look behind his system and confirmed, he'd wired the right channel wrongly. When he played the next track it was absolutely fabulous and the whole system came together. He said " where were you yesterday ? ", meaning he'd done a whole day's demonstration without anyone saying anything. He said he'd gone over the entire system trying to work out what was wrong but put it down to the room. I commented, isn't it interesting that with all these hifi audio enthusiasts , not one picked it up. We stayed for another 45 mins in the room as it really did sound fantastic. The demonstrator was very humble and a very nice guy.
Hi Shane I thought you did a great job at covering the show and did great interviews cheers
I agree with you on the Hey Now room it was my favourite by miles, I met and spoke with Mark Dohmann at length, what a gentleman

Great summary, Shane! This show looks a lot like Axpona in Schaumburg in terms of hotel layout.
I attended Geoff's PS Audio FR30 speaker demo. A phenomenal evening.

See you next year!
Keep those records spinning!
A suggestion:
Thanks so much for your video. I wish I had been there.
how about a hifi show in adelaide for a change …
A suggestion would be to overlay pics/videos of the rooms…so those of us who did not visit the show can visualise as you talk about the rooms

Great breakdown! The HiFi Now room looked incredible. I think it would have been hard for me to leave. 😉
Would make sense to mention the combination of equipment in each room or at least an image.
