  1. The vocal portion of this community is making any change Blizzard does seem absolutely dreadful. Just accept what they are doing and adapt. Stop all of this childish wailing for god sake.

  2. Support feels painful. I like the fast paced gameplay. The characters feel awesome …. My favourite actually being Orisa. No one wants to play support unless it's the role queue…. Zen is the only good one atm

  3. Why can't the Devs rework Sym again? The only reason the past ones have failed is because of two things are always in each rework, those being Turrets and Teleporter. They are literally holding her back and they both need to go.
Give her something new, make her a pure DPS, a healer, whatever. But those turrets and Teleporter have to go, they don't work at all and all it does is annoy both Sym players and enemy players.

  4. At this point they should just revert the mercy changes tbh, she was a perfectly beginners friendly character since you didn't have to do much to get utility, with the added bonus that as you learn more and more about the character functionality you can utilize her full movement potential, she had a pretty good learning curve imo.

  5. what are you talking about. Symmetra is litearlly the best hero in the game. how do we know. lets read

"Our reasoning for some of the other nerfs was that Symmetra is already a statistically strong hero, and we feared these changes alone would push her over the edge."

    overwatch devs.

so I was getting attack by people in the overwatch comm because I said exactly this.

  6. the truth about Sym is they really do know what they’re doing with the incremental changes. an overhaul of the hero would be too much.

Symmetra has one of the most unique kits in the game and completely reworking that would just ruin the character.

people calling for an overhaul are either just not good at her and dont know how to utilize/capitalize her kit, or never played her to begin with.

the devs are right when they described her as statistically strong. I’ve been playing thru both betas primarily with symmetra and she is way stronger in beta 2 than beta 1.

she is a team based hero that creates space and opens up opportunities for the team to shine as a whole. Ive won like over 90%of my games Ive played with her—typically coming out the game with the highest damage output on my team.

that being said, she does have a weak spot and it’s dueling other heroes. the minute she is cut off from her team or they drop like flies around her and leave her stranded she hardly stands a chance—she either needs her beam to ramp up damage faster or they need to let her get some amount of over-shields from her damage output so she has the opportunity to actually charge it up.

  7. the mercy changes dont sound good imto. It looks like u cant turn anymore while u are GA because it will launch u into the direction ur looking in, instead of the direction u were orignally flying in

  8. Blizzard is still completely unable to just revert to a previous version of something because their ego won't allow them to admit the entire idea was a mistake. Beta 1 Mercy had perfect mobility aside from the infinite jump. All they had to do was patch that and stop, but they always have to reinvent the wheel instead.

  9. So now when you want to go up as Mercy, you flick your head 90 degrees up at the end of GA (facing the direction you want to go)? Better warm up those necks. Also, in ow2 where you're supposed to fend for yourself a little bit more, you now can't yolo jump away at close range if stuff hits the fan because the alleged meter didn't charge enough.
Honestly looks like the first beta's changes were the most sensible (just needs a fix on the original sj stacking with the new one that launch you onto the moon).

  10. just revert the secondary fire damage for sym or make it at least 100 damage, literally the weakest dps attack rn, like how comes pharah has 6 of those 120 damage rockets? she doesnt even have to charge them, but fu- symmetra i guess??

  11. I think symmetra's primary fire could deal critical damage. Her turret's could be remote controlled like the TF2 engineer, allowing her to aim them herself. She places them, they act as security cameras and provide wallhacks, she activates/controls them when an enemy walks near. They could have more health, deal more damage, and do critical damage, but they lose the slow effect and can no longer autoaim. Other abilities she could have is the ability to create mines that do different things. One deals damage and another knocks back enemies or create a floor device that DOT.

  12. I honestly just would rather see Symmetra reworked into a support hero again at this point more than any of these other half-baked changes she's getting. And with this focus on "faster gameplay" the version we had of Symm in OW1 with her turrets and everything will never fit into OW2. I really think reworking them into a passive to heal would work much better than anything to damage enemies, plus support really needs some more characters… It fits her character a lot better in my opinion too!

  13. FYI, the reason people were upset about the super jump changes was because they forced you to auto jumped. The last OW2 beta literally made the super jump mechanic perfect and there was no reason to change it tbh.

  14. If sym ends up on the support tole I don't think I'm gonna play OW2 bc as one of my mains I feel it would ruin her as well as the fact that being a support dosent really make sense to get personality

  15. blizzard needs to hire a symm player if they want to actually find good changes for her this is what i would add for her personally
primary fire 100 ammo is fine but they should either make her charge faster or make its base dmg higher like make it 100/140/180
secoundary fire they didnt need to change should just have kept in how it was in ow1
teleporter the change they will do now i do like cause the 16 sec cd def feels too long and i dont like tp out permanent cause sometimes u just leave tp at spawn and it gets alot of value
turrets reduce slow effect but increase dmg to 50 per sec to make them feel more like a threat instead of just a nuisance
ultimate just bring back shield gen nothing else to say

  16. Still giving not up hope for a symmetra support rework, where she ends up as a defensive support with protective abilities and minor direct healings or regeneration like baptiste's AoE. Blocking and extra Health was once part of her idendity (at least in my opinion) and i really hope i can get my dreams fullfilled somehow T-T i miss my support sym, i was used to..

  17. So ngl the super jump she has now is broken. After playing with it I think it’s too powerful, like with the bug causing the cd to be reset makes mercy’s mobility skyrocket. People say “oh but the movement is super predictable” yeah sure but when you’re moving so erratically and non-stop it’s a little less predictable. I’ve been averaging way less deaths than previously and when I do die it’s when I’m not using the new super jump. Anyways I hope the new super fixes the super jump issues.

  18. For the love of God leave Mercy alone and just rework Sym at this point I'm exhausted. EXHAUSTED. The only reason Sym is so powerful is because of Teleporter and she's only good on SPECIFIC game modes and maps. Just yeesh.

  19. The super jump thing with Mercy is kinda dumb imo. She needs another ability to feel like a more useful support than just powering everyone else up, like a burst heal or burst damage sort of thing.

  20. It sucks that it's just another disappointing beta for supports after that blog before the end of the last beta had them acknowledging that they messed up and were gonna address it. I played on PS4 and had tons of fun on Junker Queen and Orisa but man, tanks feels so unkillable sometimes and it's weird lol

  21. Genuinely like the momentum meter idea for Mercy. Just nice to have as much information as possible.

Idk why they're having so much trouble with Sym lol. I've never understood why her beam needs a damage ramp up in the first place. They're always trying to make her beam so quirky and unique. Why can't it be a static damage value like every other hero?

  22. The Symmetra changes are noice…. But still shit.

Turrets still will be pretty much worthless in higher ranks. Beam still will be extremly riski and most of the time not best (realy unsure on that, depends how much they are planing On speeding up the charge) and Orbs while stronger still will be weak as an option compared to other DPS heros.

They realy need to re-think there stand and opinion about Symmetra if they realy want to go with her some were and realy make her viable (which they dont or at least thats the messege we as Symmetra comunity get)
