Em, Doom Eternal has the worst music production in the series. When I started playing the game I felt that it sounds dull and inexpressive, and thought it was just me. Then I found out that there was indeed a problem with it. If you want the details, read Mick Gordon's story on this. If you do not believe me, compare this, for example, with BFG Division track from Doom (2016).

fun fact: in some doom music Mick used a chainsaw and a lawn mower
and now all you have to do is play DOOM in order to understand in even more depth all the subtleties of these soundtracks because they are all consistent with the gameplay of the game.

Fun fact about mick and the doom sound tracks is that he used a 9 string guitar which was probably way over kill but this is doom when he was done with the project he gave it to a friend in a super hardcore metal band and he couldn’t find a use for it
