MrBeast's Space Car is Insanely Genius

MrBeast Went Viral Driving NASA’s Rover. It’s Built for the Moon, But Most People Don’t Realise How Overkill it was for the Road.

So MrBeast only tested the rover for a video, but I found out that this is part of a $93 billion dollar NASA project. I had to learn why, so here’s the 3 things that make it so expensive.

And the last one is a genius piece of engineering.

3. The wheels system. The 6 wheels operate independently. So the rover can crab walk, spin in tight circles, and ride through any bumps.

2. The housing. This rover functions as a mini base for lunar astronauts to live in for weeks at a time. That means lots of air, food and electricity.

1. The climate control. It keeps the astronauts warm, but prevents electronics from overheating. So I was shocked when

  1. There's plenty of explainers why going to Mars is a stupid, grossly expensive, dangerous and basically insane idea. The long list of reasons include the fact that, once you're on Mars, it's close to impossible to go back. So you would have to die there. Volunteers, please.

  2. Daytime temperatures on the moon are 120 °C (that's 250 °F 4 u Yanks. Not that I care much 4 this antiquated measurement system even though Mr. Fahrenheit was from Germany). Nighttime temperatures get to a freezing -130 °C (-208 °F). That's near the lunar equator, the moon's poles are even colder. Makes sense that the interior of the rover is climatised. But it will take a lot of energy to keep it that way. What if they run out?

  3. The astronauts will have to take a lot of food with them, if they want to stay on the moon 4 an extended period of time. And where to put all the waste? We want the moon poop 💩 video next, Mr. Alementary!
