About the game:

Resident Evil 2 is a 2019 survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. A remake of the 1998 game Resident Evil 2, it was released for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in January 2019 and for Amazon Luna, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in June 2022, with a Nintendo Switch cloud version to be released in 2022. Players control rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield as they attempt to escape Raccoon City during a viral outbreak that transforms the citizens into zombies and other creatures.

Capcom first considered remaking Resident Evil 2 following the release of the remake of the first Resident Evil in 2002, but was delayed as series creator Shinji Mikami did not want to divert development from the then-upcoming Resident Evil 4 (2005). Capcom announced the Resident Evil 2 remake in August 2015 and released the first trailer and gameplay footage at E3 2018.

Resident Evil 2 received praise for its presentation, gameplay, and faithfulness to the original. It received numerous awards, including winning Ultimate Game of the Year at the 2019 Golden Joystick Awards. It has sold over 10 million copies as of 2022, outselling the original Resident Evil 2. It was followed by another remake, Resident Evil 3, in 2020.

  1. You can knife the raccoons if you can reach them also you can knife downed enemies to make sure they are dead. Oh and put the shotgun in their mouth before firing cause a shotgun shot should always be a kill you don’t wana be wasting shotty ammo 🤙

  2. God the game is intense! Have to put together all the puzzle pieces, while being chased by giant dude & zombies, with minimum ammunition running lower & lower. And the foot step! Is it supposed to help, or pure intimidation?! I’m currently playing RE7 (a stupid challenge) – the punish is relentless.😵

  3. I’m sure someone has mentioned this, but you can use the knife on zombies you’ve shot to the ground to either finish them off or to see if they’re still alive. It’ll save you bullets in the future 🙂

  4. Dude, I was looking through your fighting my demons playlist and I have to say, I love your taste in music bro, I literally loved every song you have there. I love metal, classic rock. Ozzy, Dio, Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth, etc. One thing I didn't see there was Scorpions, gotta add a couple Scorpions songs lol. For a more modern Metal band I highly Recommend Trivium, they have a versatile catalog from radio friendly jams like the song Strife to awesome technical heavy grooves like their album Shogun, that whole album is sick, and I place it up there with Master of Puppets, Peace Sells, Reign in Blood, etc. They're my favorite metal band. Lastly, you really got me with House of the Rising Sun my dad used to sing and play that song on guitar all the time when Iwas a kid, I play guitar, played for decades now. Anyways, just wanted to say you have awesome taste in music and we could definitely be friends just based on that alone lol, nevermind your taste in games and love for Lord of the Rings.

  5. "I hope I don't have to write a report on this…" I love how consistent Leon's upbeat attitude is no matter how bad things get. A little joke here and there is exactly what a game with such an oppressive atmosphere needs.
