Great reporting
Keep it up @The Print. We need more India-centric news and analyses.
Kudos to Shekharji and his team.
Essential and good reporting❤
Good reporting The Print. A small suggestion: Would have loved to hear the name of ITBP commandant who raised the first alarm.
NH10 runs all along Teesta river from Sevoke near Siliguri upto Ranipul in Sikkim
11:12 – 11:25 for a person who doesn't kniw the lanscape of this region properly The Teesta was a typical mountain river -fast flowing, clean, narrow with undercurrent. After NHPC started building dams at various locations sometime around 2001 along NH10 (then NH31A in North Bengal and Sikkim, the river has drastically swelled, broadened and hardly flows (due to landslide debris and siltation from dam activities). Even in dry season, the Teesta flows less than 10 ft at some places.
I thought the Print was a reliable news source. The reporter Ms.Das appears to have a lot of groud and background information which somehow she seems to be under costraint to talk openly.
