  1. I could not fathom the pain that mother is going through she tried to get inpatient treatment she asked for inpatient treatment she knew she needed help and her insurance company turned her down I think her husband should sue the crap out of that insurance company and whoever the underwriters of it are because these insurance companies have got to wake up they have to understand that they are not the ones who determine what people need the doctors are and when treatment that is being sought is denied there are real consequences

  2. My mom had manic depression. I was told she tried to kill me and my twin, just babies. Another sister said she was also told mom also tried to kill her. Mental issues can cause people to do horrible things. If I were her husband I would have to get a divorce, another child coming forth not a good idea.

  3. @19:41 “reasonable circumstance for one parent (father) to want to leave the home for a respite from the family.” What about this mother who had 3 children to take care of in the midst of severe post partum depression or psychosis or whatever she was going through. She was clearly saying she needed help & off of work to address it. THATS the person who needs the beak. Yet the father needed a break from the house to go get dinner? For goodness sakes could these two not hear what they were saying?

  4. When I had my first son I went into a depression but I didn’t know about postpartum depression. I lost so much weight, would sleep a lot, wouldn’t eat. I believe my son helped me come out of it tbh. I’m thankful that I was able to come out of it. I had no support or even know it was a thing.

  5. Hypothetically speaking, if a father who is experiencing psychosis killed his children i guarantee they would not be getting defended this much. They would be deemed fit to stand trial and probably sentenced to death/life and nobody would argue with it

  6. She most likely had Post-Partum Psychosis which should have been considered a medical emergency and she should have been treated in an instituation. In a case of post-partum psychosis the mother should be seperated from the children asap to avoid incidents like this from happening. They can reunite when treatement has been successful.

  7. Imo, 100% premeditated, 1st degree—even if it originated with postpartum psychosis. Fact that she took advantage of a short 25 minute window when the husband was gone, says it all. Throw the book at her and lock her up.

She knows what she did—and she knew what she was doing. Priority and consideration mustn’t be given to the mental health issue when there are victims of a triple homicide no matter what led up to it. Especially child victims by their mother! Her previous occupation should hold no sway, in fact it makes it worse.

To be real, the father felt ok about leaving for 25 minutes. He didn’t lock her in a room. He didn’t take the children with him for a quick ride to pick up the food. He left an she started killing. Premeditated.

God those poor babies and her husband.

  8. People in comments wanting the insurance company to be held accountable and sympathizing with a mother who murdered her three children is shocking. Would people be feeling as protective of a mother (or father!) who committed the same atrocities during a drug-related psychosis?

Criminal and moral accountability is 100% on the mother. Anything else is a civil case.
