Most Vile Character In Game Of Thrones – Maegor “The Cruel” Targaryan

King Maegor I Targaryen, infamously dubbed Maegor the Cruel, was the third king of the Targaryen dynasty to sit on the Iron Throne. As his moniker suggests, he is known as one of the most tyrannical kings to ever rule the Seven Kingdoms.

NOTE – The characters and story are based on the books, rather than Show, which is why appearance of several characters might differ from the show and chronology of certain events might be different from the show as well.

  1. Him and Aegon the unworthy tied for most vile. the mad king right after. The things he did to his own family…..he was a better ruler than Aegon. The real and only good he did was destroying the church. Literally the one thing. He killed off so many of his family. He was THE kin slayer 😂 him and his momma

  2. When you're entire reign is characterized by extreme unrest and civil war, you're assassinated and everyone pretends it was an accident and you're successor spends 50 years repairing your damage, you are probably a pretty bad king.

  3. They call him cruel because he didn't put up with their disrespect. Westros lords are very underminding. I guess the newly dragon riding, un battle tested boy was supposed to become king. So that he can be manipulated by the high counsel huh. Would have made it real sweet for the faith and the lords.
