My oldest daughter’s father has schizophrenia. In a hallucination he stabbed and choked his own dad to death. He tried to kill me many times as well. He’s now serving life without parole.
My mom is npd and bipolar, I totally get where the 7 year old is coming from unfortunately
One sided fight with posture lol
My late aunt only got diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 53, 3 years before she passed away. Nobody knew the all the struggles that she went through since she was a teen were the symptoms of a mental disorder. All this while, the family and the community thought that her behaviour was due to some "paranormal revenge" or black magic "sent" by somebody who hated her when she was younger.
It is sad that mental illness is not something recognized in the community back then that an incident had to happen to my aunt and only then, she was brought to the hospital. She was diagnosed with a severe schizophrenia, and the doctor knew that it became severe due to delayed intervention. I hope nobody would have to suffer the same amount of pain and confusion and I wish that everyone could be more aware and acknowledge that people with mental disorders are incredibly special human beings that deserve to live a life full of love instead of fear.🌈🌈
I bet you can be agood teacher you make me understand complicated scenarios very easily I love you and bailey sarian😊😊😊😊 if thatssssss😊😊😊😊
It's wild two beautiful creatures like the parents could create such troubled and scary and dangerous sons. It's a shame the Denver family couldn't take in Lindsay. You'd think they would take in the two girls and not leave the YOUNGEST behind.
I do wonder if some of these boys weren't schizophrenic but just TROUBLED from behind driven crazy by this home situation. And I'm shocked more didn't run away.
Men are much more likely to suffer from schizophrenia than women. Also there is a disease with a French name that causes madness or mental illness to spread when people in close quarters around severe mental illness exist.
I feel Margaret had to be selfish and cut her family off but Lindsay while she SHOULD is too much of an empath even though of course being away from the family would be best.
When I worked in outpatient psych as a nurse, one of my patients told me how appreciative he was for his monthly shot for his schizophrenia. He told me that while the medication didn’t eliminate the voices, it “turned them down” so that he could ignore them; he didn’t have to hear what they were telling him anymore. And it made his life much more livable. Another patient, even with treatment, would call me every single day and would leave message after message on my voice mail about what his voices told him and how anxious they made him. He had learned that flooding my voicemail helped him to cope. I made sure to set a specific day where we would talk if nothing particularly concerning was on my voicemail, because otherwise I would have never been able to care for any of my other patients. I think that knowing that he was guaranteed certain days that I would call (and that I would give him a heads-up if the plan had to change) was of some help to him. But I have always found schizophrenia to be simultaneously one of the scariest and saddest psychiatric conditions: scariest because it can seem to come out of nowhere and change everything, and saddest because of the torture and devastation it can bring on peoples’ lives.
I’m still watching this video, but I’m going to have to look up the book about this family and read it. From both a medical/psychiatric and human persecution it sounds like a fascinating (yet heart wrenching story).
My grandma had 5 kids all there nanes starded with A. (andrew, aaron, angel, anna, alex) btw oldest to yungest so they mixed up names alot too lol😂😂😂. so i kind of understand the number thing 😂😂😂
This story was so sad, thanks Stephanie
CASE SUGGESTION!!!
Three teens could face life in prison for beating the man who molested their little sister. Authorities knew and failed to protect the little girl. The boys did what they had to do.
Justice for Alejandro, Christian, and Juan
I think the parents are to blame. They made too many kids and didn’t really took care of them. Cps should have been involved. That many children I would suspect bullying sa neglected or that the parents are trying to create a cult.
Idk why they’re portrayed as decent parents while they clearly have a golden child and the dad is barely at home calling them by numbers like inmates
i don’t know if stephanie will see this, but it would be really amazing if there could be animal abuse warnings for any type of animal mistreatment. ex: the sewing of falcons eyes, shooting birds with bb guns, importing fish specifically to kill them, etc. i just got to the 31 minute mark of the video, so i hope that there isn’t anymore animal abuse mentioned! i love your videos and have been watching since 2017! i would love to be able to mentally prepare or even choose to click out before having to hear about the abuse and then have to leave the video while knowing there was an animal out there that experienced whatever awful torture was mentioned. i love you and your videos so so much! i rlly hope somebody from the rotten mango team sees this and considers it!🥹🥹 im just a huge animal lover who is very sensitive to poor little babies being harmed bc they’re too small or trusting to run away from awful people😭
U have so many ads in this one
So excited that you chose to cover this story! I couldn’t even finish the first episode of the series because it seemed insincere…
I need that posture back thingy 😭
I have always thought they are seeing things others can't or don't believe in.
It's better to test the spirit. Literally evil spirits are in every culture and witchcraft had been silently proven for a few years by 🇵🇪 against Neymar.
And 🇷🇼 banned it after a hex bag.
You should do one about Grant Amato. He was addicted to a web cam girl and killed his family for money. And other reasons. You won't regret it! Ps, you guys are awesome on what you do 👍🏾👍🏾
Lol am I the only one who heard her say he walked into the hospital with birds all over his body? 😂
Rotten mango I love you ❤❤❤❤❤
There was a man a few doors down from us that was schizophrenic and had the "I lost track of the word" but he didn't believe he was ill. His family always made sure he took his meds one way or another but he managed to get off of them and ended up holding his family hostage with a hatchet. Tons of swat showed up which never happens in a small town where I'm from and after 3 hours he came to his senses just long enough to surrender. I still feel so bad that that one snap landed him in an institution for the rest of his life. I think he was like 23 at the time
My oldest brother had schizophrenia. We believe there was a pharmaceutical trigger as he was born with severe asthma and given high doses of steroids his entire life, starting in infancy. (This is almost never done now.) His disease was poorly managed and his delusions and hallucinations became increasingly severe. Within the midst of a psychotic episode, he stabbed my grandmother and then lit her body on fire in the front yard. The rest of my family returned home to a circus of police and paramedics. He died a year later from an asthma attack in the state hospital. We never blamed him and knew that he would never have hurt my grandmother had he known what he was doing at the time. He was the sweetest guy and loved us all very much. So while the majority of people with schizophrenia are not violent, please never underestimate the power of a serious psychotic state.
I had hallucinations, do daydream a lot. My imagination once used to help me now it wants me to kill myself whenever I do a mistake. But this image of seeing myself a character, in my own mind some will call it the subconscious or mind palace. She would hold a gun on my forehead and i would have an anxiety attack. But i control it most of the time not to let the scenarios in my mind to be in your real life situations. I am typing this because i know how hard it is. You wish to have a normal life and as a kid growing up only worsens it whenever people would participate in the trends about mental illnesses being 'delulu'. People take this as a way to downgrade another. But they don't understand what it is or feel like. They didn't wish or want those to happen. They all try to control it while sharing it with people with HOPE THAT SOMEONE TRY TO UNDERSTAND, COMFORT THEM. ACCEPT THEM FOR WHO THEY ARE.
The situation where he looks on the side, left while having the therapy session. I do this to people i trust and want them to help me that in my mind there is a copy in the subconscious and there's another person in addition. I know it ain't real, sometimes it helps me overcome situations where I'm not comfortable but if i let my fears overload my mind it will go to the upmost opposite of negative. It can be a medicine to depression or the primary source of depression. It depends on how you control it.
im in the gym washroom and still listening to stephanie haah 😅😂😂
🥂
Girl, I love your topics but your storytelling is so confusing 🥲😢 helppppp!! A lot of the time, I'm like – "wait who is she talking about this time" or like, "wait what is the topic now" ?? I would skip many episodes because of this until I finally give in and then get confused again, so I skip again. Heeelllp 🥲🥲🥲
