  1. Gran Turismo 4 online is playable, it’s not in beta. What it is, is that you need an ISO of the GT4 Online Beta put out just after release of the main game and this is how it can be played online

  2. Hey you used some of my video! But as someone who is clearly active in this community I do highly recommend joining up some discord servers. Also some of the games you mentioned I believe require modding to work. As far as the Battlefront games go, yes BF2 generally has the higher player count however the player count for BF1 events seem to be really high and I highly recommend joining up! I've also found JakX to be quite active, more so than many of the games mentioned and no modding needed!

  3. If only san andreas had an online on PS2 with peds and traffic , it would never die, i dont like the PC version cause its missing lots of animations, details , sounds, effects, and nostalgia

  4. For anyone looking at tony hawks there is a still very active community and there ton of games hosted on pc.
It is currently being played on a mod called THUG PRO (You can find tons of videos on this) which runs on top of the thug 2. Thug pro contains just about all maps from previous titles (thps 1,2,3,4, underground 1) and most maps from the following titles as well. It is also extremely customizable and the community has imported maps in from games such a mario, dark souls you name it.

  5. One of the founders of PSRewired here. Just a correction, SOCOMHQ did not revive or have any part of the revival process of the SOCOM series. All of the PS2 SOCOMs (S1, S2, S3, CA) and the PSP ones (FTB1, FTB2) are hosted by us. We actually host around 50 revived PS2 online titles right now.

  6. On PC nfs MW can be played pretty easily online with a decent amount of players. Many other NFS are still supported by their fans like NFS WORLD that was shut down in 2015.

  8. socom was such a weird game. i remember as a teen i played it like CRAZY. it was so addictive and fun. but when you look at it, it looks like total shit. i don't know why its so good. the controls were so bad I remember too. But somehow it was one of the best experiences ive had in gaming

  9. Its so surreal and strange to imagine someone sitting in their room and playing PS2 games online in 2023… pretty cool to see these games still alive to some extent though. I didn't even know PS2 had online for a long time since I didn't have an adapter as a kid or any multiplayer games.

  10. Twice I tried to get help from the PS2 community on getting certain games online
only getting sarcastic responses In return

I'd love to play more PS2 online but getting help Is Impossible

  11. Correct me if I'm wrong,. but haven't people already been playing Gran Turismo 4 online for a couple years now? Both on real hardware and PCSX2 via crossplay? Or is the one in this vid just about the private server?

  12. If you want to play Tony Hawk on PC you can get something called "THUG Pro". It's a highly modded version of THUG 2 that adds a whole bunch of new features from the older games including all the maps, tricks and skaters, as well as other improvements and QOL changes to the game. Only thing you need is a copy of THUG 2 on pc with you can just pirate, and then install the mod. I played it a few years ago and it was not a whole lot of people are playing it online, but you can probably find someone there as well as play it with you friends.
I used to play THUG 1 all the time when I was a teenager so it was really fun to come back to it like that
