The lore of warhammer 40k’s dirty nasty space marines known as the deathguard is pretty intense. and mortarion is a pretty evil dude. but did you know he wasn’t always like that? he was once celebrated as a slayer of tyrants and a breaker of chains. so what happened to him? well today were going to be examining his primarch novel ” The Pale King” to see if we can learn a bit more about one of warhammer 40k’s more mysterious primarchs.

  1. 30k mortarions would body pre chaos horus. after all he was the biggest primarch other than perterabo and vulcan. sanguinius probably would have beat him tho cause of all his crazy psychic powers tho

  2. Phosphex Bomb remind me of Greek Fire but much stronger, for people who don't know what Greek Fire is, it's a Incendiary weapon used by the ancient greeks that spewed out liquid fire onto enemy ships and supposedly never went out. it's a Long lost weapon of war that has had it's recipes lost to time but people think it's like a crude but very effective version of Napalm. Supposedly the flames were green in color which is why I got reminded from the artwork used alongside the descriptions of the Phosphex bombs

  3. Hey Wes, u should drop Established Sca-I mean Tootles. You dont own the land, they still do, and you cant become a lord or anything close by just owning property in Scotland, they even specifically reference that in the law surrounding titles. Sure many have claimed they already knew that this was a gag gift, but that is never stated elsewhere. Dont get me started on it’s creator. Though I am sure we’ve all seen the video by now

  4. One of the biggest ironies in this is that The Order isn't really all that different from the Imperium from a psychological perspective. To the High Lord's of Terra and to The Adminustratum, most of the Imperium's citizens are either numbers or tools to be used in any myriad of ways. It is, after all, one's greatest honor to give one's life for the Imperium. Be it by one's own will or the will of just about any of Imperium factions in need of manpower(or psychic warp juice for the Big E).

  5. It’s really rough to change a society.
Corrupt societies often sow the seeds of failure for anything that follows.

It’s functionally impossible with anything short of the most inhumane of draconian measures, and even then the cost may not be worth the benefit.

  6. Hey Wes, jsyk, established titles is a scam. The highest court in scotland has made it clear that tourist land ownership can not establish a lordship. You technically dont even own the land. And established titles just donates a buck from every purchase to actual tree planting companies.

  7. one thing about the death guard that im sad is lost
was that they used to be the bolter specialists of the legion
they had endurance, and they needed their weapons to have it too
no fancy plasmaguns, just good old bolters and more bolters to shoot while you walked closer and hit them with your bolter
old death guard rules had them use their bolters one handed and count as bolt pistols because of that
yea the scythes are cool, but that little unique quirk of one handed bolters because simple endurance and reliability was what mattered was subtle but so much cooler

  8. On a side note like how all the primarchs who got claimed by chaos clearly were predisposed to falling to chaos. Almost none of them wanted to go. But their fates were planted. Also. If Chaos werent a factor we'd probably still get a Heresy event. Just a wildly different one

  9. Mortarion did nothing wrong. The imperium has many branches that could have worked to clean up the planet afterwards. People that could do the evil that The Order did had no right to continue their existence.

  10. Established tittles is youtubes biggest scam. (I don't think that WesHammer knows this that is why I am warning people and him if he reads this comment.)
A lot of my favourite youtubers have fallen for it. The company pretty much just sells you a piece of paper they don't have anything to do with UK and are based in HonkKong china.

  11. NOTE: The “Established Titles” is a S C A M. You don’t actually become a lord, and you don’t actually own land. It’s a SCAM. The Land Registration (Scotland) Act 2012 clearly states that souvenir plots can’t be registered with the Land Register of Scotland which means you don’t actually legally own the land. In fact, the plot you have “bought” can be sold to other people as well since it’s not registered

  12. i truly do love the way the story contextualizes Horus himself, the great terrible betrayer, as the kindest and most compassionate of brothers, only trying to help Mortarion see the value of humanity, while the other Primarchs only insult him and his methods as barbaric. this shows that Horus legitimately at some point took the time to get to know and understand Mortarion and his worldview, wich is such an interesting take on him.

  13. The only positive that comes from established titles is the fact there seems to be a discount just about always……hearing wes say he's still sponsored by them is a cringe enducing moment to rival the most tame warhammer horror

  14. Wes haven’t you heard about the whole Established Titles thing? I’m surprised you actually advertised them on here tbh. Basically people have been exposing it as a total scam.
