  1. you missed the point, 1000 years PER real time minute the entire 10 days from xmas untill new years when they come back to work. so that digital copy would live millions of years of beeing in that room with deafening song on repeat. wont spoil anything but in season 4 there is a similar episode with similar stuff that is way more sofisticated and well done.

  2. This is a perfect example of "there are worse things than dying." 1000 years a minute over Christmas break would be millions of years, without being able to sleep and escape a confined space with one song on loop, that is terrifying. It would be interesting if they showed a post credits scene of the detectives checking in on the man after their break, but how as an actor would you display what that torture what do to you, hard to fathom.

  3. This speaks to me because as a kid I would have "inception" type dreams. Not exaggerating. I'd have days and days of dream experience in a single night, good or bad, before waking up. Every once in a while it would go too far and I'd wake up after a subjective month or longer. Sometimes really longer. Mostly good or neutral experiences, but still a mind-warp. I'd sit in class with a thousand-yard stare remembering my "life" of the night before. And people would never (have never) believed me, because they've seen it in fiction. But the fiction was inspired by some people's experiences. People like me. Ten out of ten episode, though not directly related.

  4. One of my favourite episodes. I do think that Jon Hamms characters punishment was over the top. Honestly, maybe being an unpaid consultant getting confessions like in this episode should have been his punishment, at least he would be providing a service, what he has now will probably just lead to suicide as he can't talk or interact with ANYONE ever again, even over the phone.
Looking forward to the rest of the episodes!
